Post-Game Talk: Habs defeats Buffalo in shootouts

So I have a friend visiting from Australia early January and my options to get her to see the Habs were either a Thursday vs Buffalo or a Saturday vs the NYR. I thought a Saturday night game vs NY was an easy choice but given the way the game went tonight I'm thinking the Buffalo game might be a better choice, geez this was fun!!!

Give ice time to youth like Struble, Ylonen, and Primeau. They've earned it and they're the future. They're ready for non-fringe roles.

Oh terrific game by Primeau tonight too. He was huge in net.

I'm still not sure how Suzuki didn't end this game with 3 points minimum.
Habs played a really poor game defensively. Across the board. Barron was beyond awful. Guhle was shakey. Kovacevic was poor. It was an awful game.

So fun that Eichel decided to go to a more peaceful town named Vegas.

His first shootout attempt was awesome too. his long reach had the goalie beat on the other side he just slammed it into the post.

Primeau was huge tonight and without him we likely don't win, but the whole team gutted that one out. Good team morale win.

It's good for him. I felt like with X-Man on the team, he felt a little bit too protected. Now he had to stand up for himself and got the bruises to show it. That's a good thing.
But now we have to get X Man back. And he has to be more physical than he was. Just bodies guys. And Slaf could even take step up in his confidence and physicality.
I dont think there is another dominant player in the NHL right now, who is absolute beast and still doesnt get any points from his dominant games.
