Seriously, what was that response from the isles?

I feel like when they watch that over they'll be coming for him next game.

It happened pretty fast. I didn't see the elbow at first and thought he had highsticked him accidentally. It was only on replays I saw the elbow. They went after him, but officials got there quickly.

Glad they won as the Roy Show was in town. Honestly left a bitter taste how he left

Gutsy PK attempt but ran out of gas.

Frustrating to see a good first nearly thrown away with half assed second, and a third marred with Gallagher being an idiot

Defensively just cant get their shit together. Its not about opposition or talent. Its every game. Same poor defense we saw tonight, we saw vs teams like SJ.

Monty was battling all night as team defense is just non existent
D is almost California Golden Seals bad and Monty is stealing games ala Gilles Meloche for those of you who remember!

So will there be accountability for Gallagher or will MSL pander to a veteran yet again? Because it’s now I think the 4th time the season he’s taken a selfish penalty in the 3rd. Pezzetta took a penalty in the 1st of the Sens game and was benched the rest of it.

Jesus Christ you guys aren't really going to use this moronic play by Gallagher to turn this into a referendum on him, just so you can blast your frustration on Bergevin for giving him that contract are you?

We all know the hate y'all have on the guy.

Dumb play but let's not get twisted over this.
He's a dumbazz and has played like one for the last three years. Selfish player.

He deserves the hate. I don’t give a shit what he did in 2017. It’s 2024, he’s an awful player and now he’s a selfish one.

I dunno man it just seems weird to me to blame a player for his body breaking down. Especially one who eagerly sacrificed it for his team.

The anger is misplaced in my opinion, it should be pointed towards Bergevin but he's no longer here, so Gally gets it.

His contract is not his fault, nor is his failing body, we loved him for the way he played when healthy but are seeing the consequences of it now.

C'est la vie, it is what it is.

I just don't think a warrior like him deserves the scorn he gets for fighting too many battles.

Maybe it's me, but that's just the way I feel.

The scorn is for stupid penalties, which he takes more and more of. Just plays a stupid game and people think he is a warrior? WTH. He makes it about himself far to often, there is a reason he is hated league wide.

Roy was a hockey God to me. But what he did that night was inexcusable. Although apparently he tried to mend the fences, it was to egregious of an insult to both the org and the fans (with his arms in the air gesture when he was getting the raspberries). The biggest mistake from the org was firing Savard before he pulled the trade and letting Houle botch it. Dumb all around by all involved. And the only real victim was us fans.

He's just as respected as he is hated though (this was a one-off). That's the truth. I agree with HabbyGuy. If only we can have another Gally as he was before his body broke down. He was a helluva player. Could score and fought harder than almost anyone every single shift. He's finished now. But he was a great player and leader for us.
