And once they get PLD, a very solid top 6 haha

Oh yeah, for sure. Even Habs don't have Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Michkov or Carlsson. I'm really fine with the future of that forward group.

Farrell is very talented prospect, Heineman can become a really good NHL'er too, Beck is fun to watch, Mesar have high offensive talent, Roy is promising too.

So if the plan is to start contending in about 3-5 years... what's the goalie situation? As far as I can tell thre isn't a solid goalie in the system. Or perhaps Carey will heal up by then...

Why ?
I thought Dvorak was good tonight.
That's what makes it more funny! He's upset at him mainly because he made a bad turnover in a zone entry during the 3rd period. He also made a couple of soft plays towards the end. BUt all and all I thought Dvorak was OK.

He's really soft/weak on the puck. I swear he can never clear under pressure. He's even terrible at it on the pk. Just gives the puck to D.

With the goalie pulled by Seattle, and a beautiful wrap around on boards by Guhle, Dvorak had all the time in the world to dump the puck into neutral zone, and instead does a weak attempt up the boards - straight to the D, who keeps it in and dumps it in again. Unreal. He undid the great work by our D and forced Allen to make another stop.

I totally agree. Our biggest need (even before a defense qb or a second line center) is to find a good young goalie to grow with the core. It doesn't have to be another Carey Price, just needs to be good enough to give us a chance to win every night while carrying the load.

It's written in the stars. An actual French speaking Quebec born player that wants to be here, very rare. I know we shouldn't care about language but that's the reality of our franchise's heritage. And there's nothing wrong with that. Come on over PLD and help us win a cup.
Let's hope he will turn up better than Drouin. I am still not sure Habs will be able to land him though. HOw much is he going to cost? They need to sign Caufield. And still have about $20 mil in dead salary tied to Hoffman, Armia, Dadonov, Gallagher, etc...

I honestly think HuGo will make a big play for Sorokin in 2024 FA

Oh he will, he's no Drouin, he can hockey. His dream is to win us number 25. Let's make his and our dream come true. He's gonna cost what he's worth, what ever that will be.

Probably trying to showcase them for a trade. Kova and Wideman that is.

I mean Wideman only played 8:33, so that's hardly showcasing.

Xhekaj only got 4:50 though.

He & Wideman essentially split the #6 spot, as Canadiens largely went with 5D.

Matheson played 24 minutes.
Guhle 22 minutes
Edmundson 21 minutes
Kovacevic 17.5 minutes
Harris 13:38

Suzuki and Dvorak were the only 2 forwards to go over 20 minutes, 22:47 & 21:04, respectively. Pretty good considering it was back to back.

Slafkovsky played 12:34, and had an assist.
Wright 11:12, with a goal.

Can someone please help me understand how Dadanov got over 17 minutes? He's probably the laziest player on the team. I've learned not to get excited when Armia gets the puck but you can see there's an effort without the execution. With Dadonov you get the no execution from an Armia with all the laziness and giveaways from Drouin. Reminds me of a last minute BargainBin special like Hemsky or Semin, guy should be in the stands

Did anyone say Ghule played well yet?
Probably. :sarcasm:

"Chad" in the series Acapulco, reminds me of Ghule for some reason.
