Fish on The Sand
Untouchable

We took took the entire first period off, and then when Tampa sat back in the 2nd we couldn't be bothered to get more than one or two scoring opportunities.

Exactly. If we lose tonight, we played well which is all you can ask.
Maybe Galchenyuk should watch a video or two of Ovechkin. Maybe that'll teach him how to shoot accurately with a fast release.
You can actually see Price talking to Markov he did not have to tap him.The worst thing about all of this is I just don't see the same comraderie they all had in the reg. season.
After the tough POs Markov's had you would have thought Price would give him a tap after blocking that shot and the end of the 2nd Period. Instead Price just skates away while Markov is still down on the ice in pain...
I love Price and am not trying to badmouth him in any way. I just think that overall, with everyone on the team, they don't have the same closeness they have had this year.
I don't expect any adjustments to be made, and quite honestly I don't think it even matters at this point. This team is so frazzled mentally that the only thing that can bust them out of it, is for something lucky to happen. That's not going to happen by changing the lines, they just plain need something good to happen, catch a god damn break.
On the bright side, we should be able to sign Galchenyuk for pennies on the dollar.
Can't even blame that period on "the system" the team played well, they were taking chances. We just couldn't get one.
really??"Carey's a great goalie. He's gonna save every puck we don't shoot." -Brendan Morrow
What?
So couldn't get one...who's responsible? Why can't the offensive system not be responsible? Why can't the lines that are formed not a reason why? Why can't the unsuccesful PP not be a reason why? And then if it's about the players....I guess we will have to make some serious changes to the top 6 right?
But why are we going to hear about how everything is fine and that we are just in transition?
OK, I thought I was hallucinating when I saw Subba apply pressure deep in TB's zone and getting back into position without breaking a sweat. I can't even remember if he did that just once this year.
That's bad coaching and bad system right there. When you have a Subban, you let him do his thing a little more. Now it's just too little too late. ******* Therrien.
We're doing the same for Parenteau whose worse. On the downside, we're paying DD dollars, when he's worth pennies.

If you call embarrassing yourself by being ineffective offensively "playing well".. Then I guess, yeah
0-7 against Tampa
No major adjustments
Does anyone else feel that yeah maybe we dominated in shots but it didnt look like anything was dangerous?
