Yup. He's a talented kid. Hard to know which way he's headed. Either total bust or a really creative second liner with a great shot. A real boom or bust pick. Late 2nd round is a good spot to take him.

I feel like the 2016 draft has great depth through the first two rounds but I'm looking for some steals for my two third rounders and I'm just not really seeing anyone that jumps out at me. I believe last year I snagged Dennis Yan in the third round. And this year he is keeping it up in the Q 32 goals 37 assists.

It feels like it's a top heavy draft. There is a good consensus for the top 12-15, I think after that there are so many players who could go late 1st or all the way to end of 2nd it's crazy.

3rd round on is more what you expect from those rounds.

Yes. It's a minor trade we talked about our targets. The trade makes sense, but didn't carry a whole lot of value on my end, he's only moving up 6 slots, I can't really demand a 4th or 5th this year in addition to his 3rd round seeing as I don't want to loose my 2 third rounders. And I don't won't extra picks in the 6th round. So conditional 5th Round 2017 makes sense.
