Heineman will be back up next game.If Anderson is out long term they need someone with some size (who uses it) added to this lineup
I hope he takes advantage of the chance like Struble did.

i missed the game. What changes will be made to the lines?Dallas is a tough team and it sucks they conceded two but overall a great game by the team. Will be interesting to see the lines going forward.....

Weird. Just like Newhook, Anderson suffers an injury but plays on - only to get a worse injury later.Anderson got injured, so Montreal was down to 10 forwards, as they were already playing 11F, 7D due to an injury to Dvorak against Florida.
Tough game for Anderson. He played well, but he blocked a big shot with his foot & hobbled off. Then he got highsticked in the mouth, which bled, so we got a 4 minute PP. Finally, he connected boots weird with a Dallas player and fell in an awkward way. He had to be helped to the locker room. He couldn't put any weight on that leg. It looked like a hyper-extended knee. He's probably out awhile.
So we lost Anderson & Dvorak on this road trip and only have 10 forwards on the roster. 2 will have to be recalled from Laval before our next game.
Lines:
Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky
Ylonen-Monahan-Gallagher
Pezzetta-Evans-Armia
Stephens
Is basically what we ran with to end the game.

That knee did not look good.
Yeah I think it'll be wise for the Habs to bring in a veteran former head coach. Marty is a good coach but still inexperienced (just one whole season under his belt). He could use someone more experienced beside him to learn from. He’ll get better just like our team will, would be nice to get him a solid assistant coach though with experience, I can think of one we could replace lol
Happens when you have five skaters playing goalie. It is not normal we are soooooo f***ing bad 6v5. Teams could pull their goaltenders in the first period and blow us out.
Bad yes, rebuilding noThe Habs have been a rebuilding team since 1993.
As time progresses, Harris’ value will be recognized. Smart, mobile defencemen are hard to find and traded at your team’s peril.Well, that was an anxiety inducing last 5 minutes. Montembeault was stellar in the 3rd & while Montreal was playing shorthanded for the last 6 damn minutes.
Armia actually made a hell of a defensive play at the side of the net with time winding down. Guy had an open cage & Army pushed him behind the net. Harris also made a huge defensive play on Pavelski.
Team blocked shots & worked hard. They earned this win.
Good games by Slafkovsky & Harris, in particular.
Montreal finishes their annual Christmas/New Year road trip, 3-3-1, .500, which is one of our better results.
Another fun game.
Gorton said in an interview they offered that but MSL said no.Yeah I think it'll be wise for the Habs to bring in a veteran former head coach. Marty is a good coach but still inexperienced (just one whole season under his belt). He could use someone more experienced beside him to learn from.
A hockey hotbed. Bowling draws a bigger audience.Just checked the Stars GDT and it had a whopping 87 posts for tonight's game.

That 4th line looks really solid.Anderson got injured, so Montreal was down to 10 forwards, as they were already playing 11F, 7D due to an injury to Dvorak against Florida.

They should have fired him.Gorton said in an interview they offered that but MSL said no.
They should have forced him
I loved Benn in his prime. Guy was everything you wanted in the player. That being said I want no part of him now, he killed his team in the playoffs due to how fast it was.I would love having a player like Jamie Benn on my team. Even if he is not what he used to be, he has such presence on the ice. Just having him on the ice at the end there, I was crapping my pants.
Heineman and Xhekaj and we dress 8 Dmen.Without following the Rocket closely enough, who gets called up? Gignac and one of either Heineman or Simoneau?
excellent outlook. We've been staying in games and then losing out to experience. Almost happened again tonight, but it shows progress. Dach would change this lineup entirely.Hey, back to .500, and .500 on grueling road trip. You could see it in Tampa, Carolina games this team only a Dach away from going 5-2 or 4-2-1 on toughest road trip of season.
Montembeault nice bounce back game. Caufield starting to score again. Sucks to lose Anderson he was just starting to play well
Slaf was incredible; he did not get an assit on Hariss’ goal but he made a big play in our D zone to force that takeaway. Also on Caufield‘s goal, he used his big frame to win a puck battle at the blue line to keep the play alive. When that kid comes to maturity in 4-5 years he’ll be a beast.Slaf a beast of a game.
Caufield with the winner on his birthday !
I find him so underappreciated by our fanbase. As time progresses, Harris’ value will be recognized. Smart, mobile defencemen are hard to find and traded at your team’s peril.
The kid had a great game for sure!!Slaf is directly responsible for 3 goals despite only getting 1 assist
