They have to take the season one game at a time and if they do that they might actually be in the mix AKA just missing out on the playoffs but staying in it till the end. In the mix to me is more about being competitive game to game, and the only way to do that is to play one game at a time.

I think that they definitely have improved the last few games in terms of defense and I don't mind the loss to Minnesota because they're too good but it's good to see us beat Buffalo and Columbus because if we're being honest this team isn't lacking the ability to win games. It's important that the team be competitive and not just tank again if they can help it.

In the end, if they do have the tank so be it; but it's way too early to start thinking about tanking, especially when the division and the Eastern Conference has been a lot of .500 hockey.

Columbus played last night & it was their 3rd game in 4 nights, so no surprise they fell apart. Still, it was nice to win it with a big margin.

I loved Xhekaj's, Heineman's & Caufield's game tonight. Heineman is a perfect 4th line winger for us. He also brings some offense & is a constant net front presence. Xhekaj great game, and an even bigger fight.

D played well, and it looks good without Savard. Next game is Monday against Edmonton. I wouldn't mind seeing how these 6D do against McDavid et al.

Montembeault was steady in net.

Good win. (It moves us from 32nd overall to 29th.)

Yeah I guess. He can get lost though.

The two points he got from missing his shots lmao. I guess it's better than whatever he gave us before though.
He got 2 points and made a lot of nice plays defensively and offensively.

Against a bad team he can stand out .

Maybe an unpopular opinion but the little huddle bow thing they do after wins is exclusionary and just seems weird.

Like celebrate as a team in the locker room, not with your personal buddies on the ice.
I miss when Connor Dewar on the Everett Silvertips would wait by the bench/tunnel and kiss each and everyone one of his teammates on the helmet as they left the ice lmao
