  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Big hit on Tanev, generates a turnover, gets a great shot on net.

I really don’t get this “Cozens doesn’t hit” narrative.

Brother, any narrative coming out of Buffalo must be taken with grain of salt.

O'Reilly was washed up, won cup/selke/conn smythe year after. Reinhart was questionable IQ and defensively, is one of the best scorers in the game. etc. etc. etc.

We should be going full force trying to get Peterka somehow too.

Cozens has been very good since coming here & seems to enjoy playing here which is great. In future, Ott needs to find these young guys that need a change in scenery with some size, skill & toughness who can be difference makers. I'd like to see them get Mathews Knies out of Toronto or Crouse out of Utah.

It is amazing that you can get paid to be so uninformed

20 Fantasy Thoughts: Brady Tkachuk willing Senators to end playoff drought

Imagine writing this little bit

Where I think Tkachuk can benefit specifically is that Cozens takes some of the pressure off the forward group as a whole and makes the unit more flexible. Cozens allows Giroux to move to wing, giving Tkachuk both Tim Stutzle and Giroux, two great offensive players, on his line to work with and help him generate offence.

Giroux moving to the wing because we got Cozens. Nailed it o_O

Early review from me is that they seem harder to play against with Cozens in that spot.
He’s good in tight spots, the cycle is improved, and again feels like more offensive zone time etc.

👍

Remember when Buffalo posters came and said he has bottom 1/10th in the league IQ.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

"The dumbest player I've ever seen play"

and whatever nonsense LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
To be fair, Pronman has said scouts have issues with his hockey IQ too, so it’s not just a Sabres fan thing.

I’m not seeing it so far though. He hasn’t done a single thing that had me thinking he’s dumb out there so it is kind of a strange assessment.

He is an under the radar type of player. At least so far.

Not flashy and you don't really notice him, but then I see those stats about #1 in slot shots and rebounds since he joined the Senators?

Solid player, hopefully he can remain consistent.

According to some people (Sabres fans), if you don’t put a guy through the boards it doesn’t really count as a hit.

Buffalo fans just saying what they saw. We were talking about trading Tkachuk not more than a month ago and imagine the scouting reports some would deliver on Chabot if we traded him before this season.

That team has been struggling for years and that has a huge effect on developing players, not to mention every mistake is amplified out the ass when you're already down on someone. It's very possible that what both Ottawa and Buffalo fans have seen is true even though the opinions are almost opposite. We've only had 5 games to evaluate at a time everything is going our way.

Maybe that's why I'm also so incensed when I see a mistake but Chabot. I still would give him terrible review today while he's on our team. Part of that may be that he plays more like a 5-6M and has for the last 2-3 years without any real progress.
