Habs Beat Bjs in OT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Least there is one team MtL matches up well against

Slaf looked more engaged
Heineman is playing for a bigger role
Guhle is the number dman if he can only stay healthy

Dach had some good, more bad though
Jackeye has been quietly solid for the most part

With that said, we have seen it before. Gotta do this more than once every two weeks

They have a hard time again big line who play a heavy forcheck like tonight again olivier line. But they still played the right way tonight. And Xhekaj have really turned his play around for the better and rewarded with pk time. Slaf was good but he need to take Dach spot on the pp. Screening the goalie is a waste of talent

Heineman is my Hero.

I love the fact he's establishing himself. Those of us who watched him in Laval said he has NHL caliber skating and an NHL caliber shot. But there are a lot of guys like that who don't really staying in the NHL. Heineman is definitely making it very difficult to take him out the line-up.

Dude's a 4th liner and he has 5 goals and 7 pts in 21 GP after tonight. He's currently on pace for 19 goals and 27 pts.

No Matheson effect!

No more Barron though!

:yo:
I'm done with Barron.
I thought he was turning it around but he's worse than ever.
FME He did his damnedest to kill our Captain with a suicide pass as Olivier was bearing down on him.

Can he play the wing because he's not a defenseman right handed or otherwise.
Our RD is completely f***ed.

My demands:
1)Keep Slaf with Gallagher (and Dvorak seems to work so sure; if Dach improves then slot him in)
2)Put Heineman with Suzuki and Caufield
3)Please make this Barron's last game as a hab

Thank you.

He's more than a fourth liner IMO.
He reminds me of one of those players who just plays better with more talent around him.

Probably their best 60 minutes effort this season (so far) and it was in the back of a back-to-back.

The 5 men units were much more synchro tonight (I haven't watched the last two games thought). Still missing the net too much, but without Matheson, way less shots in the shin pads!

Dach is actually showing improvements compared to the early season I feel. Still lots of stuff to work on (and confidence is probably not that high either), but I don't think he's the lost cause people think he is.

Slaf + Gallagher force Slaf to work his feet. I would keep them together for a while.

Primeau was just...as bad as the Columbus goalie. He has low confidence, has issue tracking the puck and looks slow...oouff.

Heineman will be a good middle 6 player in a few years. Still some stuff to work on but :thumbu:.

I really liked Anderson, but then he was playing against his ex-team.

The PK was extra tonight too.

Barron looks slower than last year (skating wise). I would use him as trade bait at this point.
Roy might have elite NHL IQ and hands, the rest of the package isn't there. Another trade bait.

the effort was there, which on the positive side is great, but on the negative side why do they keep just showing up uninterested some nights then
What you saw tonight is two teams in the bottom tier of the league. Habs can compete against those. And can certainly win its share(Utah aside). But need to be firing on all cylinders against the mid-tier and just cannot compete against the top tier.
This is what a rebuilding team is. One that is inching slowly but surely (or Shirley, for those who get it) towards the higher ups. But it will take much more time.
Kids are alright though.

Probably a really nice guy
He does the dishes at Cole’s place.

It's crazy we're only 3 games below .500 despite everyhing we've seen thus far.

8 - 11 - 3
Yeah but still at the bottom of the conference. The team is not bad enough to be bad, not good enough to be good. It's worse, more like being just good enough to be one of the mediocre teams in the lower half of the division. A place where average teams get stuck in the middle of nowhere.
