What's intriguing with Fantili is that he's still figuring out how to use his arsenal of tools and what type of a player he should be, he's still quite raw. If he fully comes out of his shell in the pros, with proper development and all, he could really be a force. A good coach could really unlock him and turn him into a Mike Modano 1000+ games, PPG type.

Oh i agree, it was not all black. but i had thought he was a bad pickup due to his performance not for the fact MB picked him. He did improvce all the facets of his game. Kudos to him

Good analysis and comparison to Modano. I always thought Stamkos/ Richer, but the more I see of Fantilli, the more fluid he looks than my comparison. He’s clearly the most dynamic skater on team Canada ( he hit the goal post earlier in the game) and that elite skating ability is something Bedard does not possess. One can only image what this kid will be able to do in two to three years when he grows into his body.
