I have my lingering doubts that the consensus 1OA has the speed and strength to be the offensive force at the NHL level that he has been in junior. I have no such doubts about Fantilli’s upside. He will be a Stamkos / Richer level player in the NHL. The play that resulted in Fantilli being ejected was largely a case of a bigger, stronger player running over a smaller player. When this kid fully matures he will be a physical and offensive force.

Time will tell.

Lmao this man tryna tell us Bedards too small to have success in the NHL.

Yeah, I meant Swiss. I changed it. Well maybe, but it's not Swedish nor Finnish. Even if it's pro. And again not dissing him. Just saying that I don't see that as top 5 material. McKenzie has him 20. I even think it's too low. I have him so far between 10-15...but I'm not done yet.
So youre expecting a D year 5th overall to dominate against men? It never happens, Fantilli isnt dominating and neither is Carlsson.

Also the swiss league is a very good league, just as good as Liiga and a lot closer to the NHL in play style than SHL.

They have the guys that accepted to go...Pretty sure Lucic was not on the initial list.
Package deal with his friend Toffoli?

Honestly would have been better to bring those Canadians who already play overseas and dominate the pro leagues there, even if they aren’t traditionally NHL caliber.

I guess they just make a list of all the players available and start calling them, and then just go down the list as a lot of players decline.

The Calgary connection might be a reason Lucic is there for sure though.

Maybe they called Toff and he told them Lucic is interested.

Nowhere do I talk about dominating. Not one place. As far as the Swiss league, please tell me how many of those guys were selected as high as 5. Then, who are the success stories picked directly from that league. My point is to play the percentages. Especially if a guy like Michkov is there. And I'd suggest even for guys like Benson and Leonard. Dvorsky? I'd probably take him too ahead of Reinbacher.

Top 10, I have a spot for him. Top 5 I don't.

The funny thing is that Reinbacher outproduced Dvorsky is a tougher league as a D.

Asking for draft success stories in the NL is like asking for draft success stories in the SHL, Liiga, NCAA. D year prospects just dont play there often, and swiss talent is sparse, the league is mostly made up of adults that spent a major part of their career overseas.
