Here
Any concerns about the dearth of elite scoring talent in our pipeline? Or can our excess D be enough to land it in trades?
It’s my main obsession really. It’s a glaring hole;
- Either we land Celebrini
- Either we sign one
- Either we trade someone we don’t want to trade.

I don’t see anything other than option 3, with a dash of option 1 baring luck.

Why hate ? It s not about hating a player but being realistic about what he does on the ice and not what we want to see. I don t think 35 points makes you a 1st liner (the Argument was that he would be a great partner for CC Suzuki). I have nothing against players themselves.

Perhaps hate is not the correct choice of words but holding him to unrealistic expectations and criticizing him for things that he was not acquired to do is more appropriate.

He is a complementary player with a rare set of attributes that are coveted by NHL Gm's and he can be a fit on any line regardless of line rank if his skillset provides the complementary balance that the rest of the line requires.
