Great video. Slaf may have gone 1st but you can see he s still a project that needs seasoning. I really hope he plays 0 NHL games this year, regardless of AHL production. Let him develop into a star before he has to deal with the Bell Center spotlight.
After watching that video, I think they do intend to play him in the NHL this year.

They seem confident that he will play/develop better in the NHL over other places like Laval. And I'm really starting to see that myself the more I watch/learn about Slaf

Man I wish Hughes could have pulled a move to end up with the 2nd overall and draft Nemec.
Top 6 LW and Top 2 RD in one fell swoop!
im sure he called the Devils to asked the price for the 2nd overall but picks that high demand a crazy return think Suzuki or Caufield

Has for the video i loved it but wish it was longer way too short

That was great!
My biggest takeaways was how much of a presence Bobrov command when he speaks as well as how well respected Boucher is by the team.

Becomes apparent why Gorton brought Bobrov along with him. Right or wrong, he isn’t a yes man.

I'm glad they've got someone analytically-minded in there to point out that its generally a bad idea to pick players later on based on their size.

I like that it seems like under HuGo that everyone's input is valued at these meetings and we see basically everyone involved. Gorton and Hughes both mentioned they are good listeners when they were hired, and it definitely showed in this video.

Definitely a big change because it seemed like under Bergevin if you couldn't bench-press 315 pounds, or if you graduated high school then you weren't allowed to have any input.

Cool video to watch. I've not been following the team closely those past few years with COVID and how bad the team was but i really liked the 24CH series a few years ago. It feels like after the removed the NO EXCUSE sign they stopped doing features like that. I wish they'll go back to doing more videos like that as a fan i feel more part of the team watching this.

LOL at thinking someone is a 'star' because he played well against the other teams' 15th to 30th best forwards and 8th to 15th best D-men and 3rd-5th string goalies.

Or to put it another way, to be productive in league that Michael Pezzetta is almost too good for.

Whoopdie-doo.

Christer Rockstrom sounds like an idiot.

I had a preconceived notion of him before this video... but it didn't do him any favours. Really basic and weak takes.

Bobrov may have a questionable drafting history, but the guy seems like a great leader who can organize thoughts and strategies in an otherwise chaotic field. Having him paired with a guy with good drafting history (Lapointe has done pretty well so far since he's taken on a bigger role) can help move this ship forward.

I have to say about Bobrov... He seems to me like the type of guy that is all sizzle and no steak. He's well spoken and appears intelligent, but what he's saying seems very shallow.

It was an emotional speech rather than fact-based with any deep-level analysis. The impression I'm getting from him based on the interviews he's given since the draft and this video make him (and Lapointe too) come off as doofuses that seem to lack knowledge of what's going on.

Now maybe the video didn't show the more deep-level stuff. But it's their PR puff piece. If they want their guys to come off better, that's on them. Right now, I'm not impressed.

What did he say that wasn't facts?
