Wow. I we did the exact same thing as we did in Dallas with the lead. Play prevent defense and let them take it to us. I do not understand this. You play the 3rd period like you did the first, you hold them to limited shots and make it easy on yourself. Man, way to go Wolf, played amazing as usual.
Put it in the win column.
Team just came off a brutal road trip. This would of been an easy game to not be skating and have a let down. Team played strong. Fatigue is a legitimate factor.

Ahead of the Cansucks again by a point, though they have a game in hand, and don’t play tonight. The Blues can pull ahead of us with a dub vs. the Kings, since they have more wins, but they also have two games in hand. LA currently leads in that game 1-0, still early.

love beating the Habs

Thought the team played well. Habs are going to be stuck in the mud forever if they don't find a center better than Suzuki.
Should maybe put literal cancer on the Backlund-Coleman line and see if they can fix that.
Zary and Coronato need to get hot if we're going to make the playoffs. Don't really have any faith in anybody else doing it. Bean and Rooney out Klapka and Solo in would be my lineup next game. Canucks on Wednesday should be a good litmus test for the rest of the season.

No et le but for the visiting team please and thanks.

@Zirakzigil regarding Backlund looking better, Eric Francis has stated more than once that Backlund was nursing an injury before the break and has confirmed the time off helped him get healthy

Yeah, that seemed very obvious to me. The fact hes the only center who can win a draw on the PK makes it even worse.

I've been following the two former flyers since the trade, periodically watching them when I can. He's struggled the last calendar year, and it's nice to see him get a few. He's got a decent skillset, and can score, particularly at ES. Hopefully he'll continue for the Flames.

I didn't get to watch this game specifically, but I watched the extended highlights. Frost appeared in it quite a bit - showing up with decent passing on the PP and at ES. Given his playmaking abilities, I think he would look good next to Huberdeau or Coronato.

Just curious what this board thinks about Backlund. I recognize he's been with the org for 10-15 years, and is the current captain... But what I've personally seen from him; he seems like he's taken a step or two backwards. My outside perspective is they are playing him at 5v5 too much.
