You arent alone.

Im already knee deep in stress with my mothers battle with cancer.

Ive been on the fence with boycotting a Melnyk owned team for a little while now, and said that I would wait and see what happens with EK before I decide if its worth pulling the plug or not.

I walked into this week with a bit of optimism for the future, and first we got the Boro video, and now this.

So im also personally done until the obvious changes are made up top.

Tough times, but you will need a distraction with your mother's battle. I found some solace even with how crap we were last year when my father succumbed to cancer almost a year ago.

God bless

I canceled before last season and have been going to games but only pay $15 a ticket on stub hub. basically it was more like not renewing at that point, my uncle was given a refund but canceled before i did. When Alfie was still playing.

You cancelled after their Conference Final run?

They lied to us since February in order to try to sell us a product they knew was going to be absolute trash.

Don't give us this holier than thou nonsense.

Not that it changes the trade, but Dorion clarified that Karlsson was not part of the discussion in February.

This year's product will be the toughest sell. At least when Alfie was traded we still hd Karlsson. Now we have neither.

Oh, my mistake for believing Dorion stating over and over and over "we will try to re-sign Karlsson" from February to today.

I should have read his mind to know he was thinking "actually we're not going to re-sign him, he's not part of the plan".

I don't believe him anymore. No one does.

It can be fun rooting for a smart low-budget underdog, like in baseball the Tampa Bay Rays or Oakland A's. Doing the most for the least, revolutionizing the sport through analytics or other means, because they have no choice given their budget.

It is no fun rooting for a very dumb low-budget underdog.

Knowing that this team is run by an absolute fraudulent scrooge overshadows any feel-good story that could come out of this.

Thanks for the kind words. And trust me I know that I need a distraction right now.

I was really, really hoping that the Sens could occupy my spare time and interests. Counting on them to do it to be honest.

It took exactly one week of me paying attention for the Sens management to completely f***ing fail me, and devastate my hopes that I'll be able to use my love of hockey and the sens to get me through the hardest times in my life so far.

f*** Melynk and Dorion both for ruining something I loved dearly. I will never support them in any way.

I don't want to cheer for the Leafs because they're looking really good right now and it would feel too much like bandwagoning.

I might start following the Habs a bit since my grandpa was a big fan. Their management is a bit of a joke too, just not nearly as bad, so it might feel a bit like home. It's also easy driveable distance so I may even catch a game. I might be able to get excited about Ottawa again once Melnyk is out of the picture, or maybe I'll stay a Habs fan if he holds on to his shitshow for another few years. Who knows.

But I'm pretty well done supporting this gaslighting moron and his unrelenting lies and antics.

I was not down with the whole financial boycott, but after today, it’s clear the team doesn’t want to take people’s money

It’s not that they traded Karlsson. It’s that they didn’t get anything impactful back. They didn’t make the other team hurt.

So I will now give them what they want. They, nor the NHL, will not get any of my money for the foreseeable future. I have cancelled the sports channels in my cable package. I have told friends and family to not get me anything Senators-related.

See you on the other side.

We knew EK trade was coming even though it shouldn't ever happened , a horrible trade but whatever.

All the good players traded away and treated poorly and the fans are the ones I feel the worst for. I know this team is in for a rough ride while EM is the owner.

All the B.S. from owner and GM , he thinks the fans are fools with all their B.S. , this is not how a NHL franchise should be run and I don't have to support it any longer.

I am done with the team till EM is dead and team is sold. Then I will come back until then I can't be part of the circus or support them any longer.

I'll definitely be watching a lot of Leafs this year (I know, I know). They are broadcast in my market everywhere, are a team that is incredibly fun to watch, and most of my close friends are Leafs fans.

Will still be a Sens fan and follow the Sens and talk here about the Sens, but if given the chance of tuning into a Leafs game or a bottom of the barrel Sens game with this management, I'm probably going to tune into the Leafs.
