turnovers are aplenty..not the baked kind..with Mr D usually either dawdling back or making me wonder what the H he was thinking.. and believe me it is totally demoralizing to a goalie.esp. combine with your point Cynical..I don't look for any really significant change though.. they'll play out the cycle on the key 16 draft.. it is what it is :..flashy but leaking badly.. prove me wrong then..some lesser talented teams have done amazing runs to the finish and won it all..I'll just bring my tums..buy the crappy coffee (overpriced).; and hope the Flash will carry the day..we need balance depth of TEAM engagement. I think the air is stale from the executive down; in need of some top down refreshing....

I don’t disagree with your last sentence. I am puzzled by your continued following of the team and moreover, why you spend money on tickets to perpetuate your misery - to each their own I guess. I’d really like to know if you had a relation that got passed over in the 2016 draft or if drafted, got cut from the team. The loathing for one player that you reiterate in every post just seems unhealthy and peculiar to come from a person that doesn’t have a personal connection to the situation. Maybe it goes back to minor hockey.

hava nice day

Good showing by Daws on the OT penalty shot with Popovich off for skate repairs. 6 caught up ice yet again and cross checked Morgan from behind into Popovich.

The only beneficial ice time that 6 brings to the game is power play time. It is proven that he cannot play in all situations. The staff know to never trust him with any pk time, but his even strength minutes should also be reduced.

Last night early in the 2nd period he comes on the ice when the clock reads 17:04. Offside call at the Spitfire Blueline clock reads 16:33 (37 second shift no change). Offside call at Storm Blueline clock reads 16:26 (44 second shift no change). Puck in the Storm end, 6 running around like a lost squirrel, he finally ices the puck, clock now reads 15:12 and is not allowed to change (no timeout called). More Spitfire pressure, more poor defensive play from 6, clock reads 14:50. Puck in back of Storm net. This happens far too often.

IMO, if they are going to keep him he should be a third pairing D-man with sheltered even strength minutes and kept fresh to quarterback the power play.

As far as Torpurchenko is concerned.
18 games played and 2 even strength points.
Totally unacceptable for a Euro drafted player.
Curious George should make a call to Sarnia and inquire about Hugo.

Wow.. I'm not entirely alone re 6..he may someday be great fwd point getter.. but never a D..he can't even tie Marners laces YET.or even young Chaykas as a D.. ..totally different hearts...move him up...or out..

notice how the fellow they dropped to get Toropchenko is doing.

Playing significantly more time on a less talented team.

I'm sick of seeing you in this thread completely rip on a bunch of kids trying to progress their careers.

Watch a game for five seconds and you can see the impact Toropchenko has compared to the points he's getting with sub-par line-mates he's managing to create chance after chance and entry into the offensive zones.

Toropchenko is better that Michnac. Being a year younger too.

If you look at their first seasons in the OHL they had the same amount of points as a rookie, the season is still young and Toropchenko is looking like a force on a nightly basis, the points will come.

As for the constant ripping on #6, It's uncalled for. He is hands down improving from last year, he is a large part of our offence and being on defence allows him to create more space for himself.

Last night for example, there were three or four opportunities alone where he put the puck on a platter for someone and they were unable to convert, Bertuzzi with the wide open chance for instance.

He is the most offensively talented defensemen in all of the CHL right now and it's not even a strong debate, there's always going to be cons that come with the pros.

ss you must live in a pretty dark world, negativity seems to be your best quality. Quit trolling this forum and start one of you own under the team forums. Better for everyone.

Watch the game on Sportsnet if you don't like it.
Wow...testy bunch. I really wanted to make a road trip because the Sleeman was a spot my Dad loved to visit. He passed away in December and I wanted to make the Sleeman my 1st road trip but the pricing is just a bit outa whack for Junior hockey. I came in peace and now I've been ripped twice. Your fans are not that way whenever I visit...so why the act?

It wasn't that deep.

I just said if you don't like the prices, don't visit. The caliber of talent is worth the money and even with the ticket prices as are, I'm not too sure Guelph is in the area of profiting.

Don't know...just haven't seen many Junior games in the $30 range for regular seating
I haven't bought a regular ticket in years but how much is it now? If online fees are a factor just go for a walk in game day price.. which last I checked was $25 or so?

30 bucks for the lowest priced seats according to the website. They have a family pack which seems like a good deal though...25 dollar concession voucher too...88 bucks for 4 seats

Didn't realize prices were that high now. Even with inflation and constantly raising minimum wage I think it'll be a hard for the OHL to get over that $30+ sticker shock and might even price themselves out of competition.

They can't do anything about it. They can't afford to do anything.
