Are you implying Robertson for Miller or are you saying that Robertson slump is the reason they could use miller.

If league sources were accurate, the Canucks and Rangers had a deal involving Miller but it collapsed. Makes you wonder though how 'reliable' these sources actually are.
But if they're close on a Miller trade, then I guess the only assumption you can make is that he wants to leave Vancouver. Because he has a no-move contract, and would have to agree to waive.

Oh God. It's been a long day. You missed a lot. Apparently some deal with the rangers got scrapped last second, Dallas wants him now. NJ. Who knows. I want him to stay. We need him if we want to get to the playoffs, him and pettersson need to figure it out. It's f***in hockey, not a highschool dance, I think it can be done.

Jesus I go out with the wife for a day and stay off here until the Canucks game...and miss that Miller was almost traded? Still insane to me that it's come to this point - we had two bonafine number 1 centers last year, and now one's had all his offensive talent drained & the other is likely dealt.
For what it's worth, it's probably the right one of the two to deal, and I say that only because of the age difference between Hughes & Miller. If Miller was 5 years younger, pretty sure Petey is gone.
One team I'm keeping my eye out for is Columbus, given Miller is from Ohio and the team is red hot. They have a ton of cap space, Miller can play center for them now, and move to the left wing long-term. They also have a glut of young centers who are going to need ice time long-term (Fantili, Lindstrom, Sillinger, Johnson - although he might be a winger now), so I wouldn't be surprised if they're willing to pony one up right now along with draft capital that ends up being flipped.
Dallas is a weird one. They will want him and have a unique opportunity with the Seguin injury, but asset wise I don't know if they have anything that's particularly attractive for a PPG powerforward.

I’m scared shitless of a Miller trade, and doubt it is possible, but if we got Lafreniere and Schneider in return, I’d be really happy with that.
Surely Drury isn’t that much of a donkey?
Dhali confirmed that a Miller deal was close this afternoon but fell through. Dallas and NYR both in the running.

I mean yeah, I’d love that from the Canucks side, but I doubt the Stars are trading their 23 year old, #2 dman in the middle of trying to contend.
If anything happens tomorrow it's going to be while I'm at my kids' swimming lesson.

I'd LIKE to see it though. Just don't think this marriage is a good one anymore.
IF NJ/NYR are out of the running. columbus seems like the perfect team tbh. loads of young talent and picks to choose from. sillinger, kent johnson, marchenko?
