Someone said it earlier but Tomas Hertl is actually a great example of JTs value.

Hertl and two 3rds for a recent #32 overall and a 1st, trending to be again #30-#32.

We dont have two 3rds so its Miller and a 2nd for two late firsts and 8 mill capspace and honestly thats not bad and opens up space to be creative imo.
Hertl and Miller aren’t the same…. Miller much better imo

Cap world so has to add up.

I’ll take a stab.

To NJ:

Miller + 8.0 million

To Vancouver:

Ondrej Palat + 6.0 million
Dawson Mercer + 4.0 million
Seamus Casey
1st round pick

Oof. Demko has unfortunately been ass since returning so doesn’t really have much of a leg to stand on.

If he was playing like his old self we might not be in as deep in it as we are now.
Might also be playing in front bottom 5 D in league

so today we have aqualini's man, mason, saying that he thinks pettersson stays. plus fresh meat on miller being traded involving nj.

and we have simultaneous stories that demko is sad (from an unlikely but reliable source) and from an agent mouthpiece that boeser talks are going nowhere if they are going at all.

it's not good news. i would bet at least one of these stories is intended to be a message that if miller goes the player in question goes.

management has a problem that their decision goes beyond miller and pettersson. we thought this shit had gone away. it is back.

I'm a little surprised there hasn't been any more talk about Clark since the rumors of him possibly wanting out back in Sept/Oct. I was expecting some of the media to sink their teeth into it more than they did
I do wonder what Demko thought about the whole Clark situation. And coming back from a major injury and not having your familiar goalie coach…

Salivating at what a Sherwood return would look like at the deadline.

Garland/Suter/Soucy/Debrusk should be gone as well.

Miller in the offseason unless you get a decent return before the deadline.

Tank for a top pick and reset for next year. Time to give the keys to the franchise to Hughes and Pettersson.

Lol that's interesting. If you can get a Tanner Jeannot return from Tampa you must consider

Their gm shutdown the Rossi trade talk and said they are looking to sign him to extension! They are in 2nd place and all their players have Nov or nmc! Russian players like trenin are off limits as well due to their Russian superstar. They literally have negative cap
I had not heard that, I'm sorry! I said a trade wouldn't be easy.

So are they going to do anything? This team is completely broken
The management group isn't stupid. They have to make trades that will largely put any playoff hopes to bed for this year.

The owner is probably reluctant to go ahead with anything but a playoff push.

Story in Utah is that Armstrong has been calling.
Are you referencing this from two days ago?

Link to article that disappears if I just post it normally

Frank Seravalli: I do think they are. I will tell you this. Bill Armstrong is not a very popular GM amongst his peers and the reason for that – we actually talked about it on the pod – because he calls and he asks about top-end players. A lot of times, the conversations are super short, and sometimes he even gets hung up on, I bet. Where it’s like, ‘Why are you calling about that guy?’ But that Sergachev deal is a great example because maybe about six months before it even materialized at the Draft, he had called and asked Tampa Bay about Sergachev. Months later, he gets a call back of, ‘Hey, are you still interested? If so, here is what we might be looking at.’ And you see a deal start to come together. I know for certain that Bill Armstrong has been making those types of calls this season and I wouldn’t be shocked, let’s just connect a dot, what about one of the guys in Vancouver that we have been talking about all year long? Utah has the pieces to get something like that done and they are ready to take a swing and potentially add a game-changing player. I don’t think there is a team in the NHL that is better well-positioned for the future than Utah – draft picks, prospects, cap space, and they have star players already in their fold. That’s a pretty dangerous combination.
