Jared McCann and Nick bonino?

That just became useless because the chode with lips running the show made it so.

Send boeser to the moon and grab ehlers. He's smaller but plays a more aggressive game. If we don't take too much cap back in the miller trade and let boeser walk or trade him at TDL we could easily grab ehlers.

Imagine if we had just drafted Ehlers in 2014 like most of us wanted

i remember very clearly that the board's reaction that day and how it ws such a communal moment of wow stupid guy clearly

I had a bad feeling about Benning during the Year End Summit in 2015 when he said they tried to move Ryan Miller and "nobody wanted him" and then he got booed lol

And later they extended Sbisa. After watching him.

How is that even conceivable???

Sbieksa haunts my nightmares

Glad to see that management is taking their time... wouldn't bother me at all to keep jt and trade him at the draft. All those crappy losses aren't all on him, and when he is on his game, he is a difference maker

There’s no rush but at the same time management has shopped Miller before he signed his extension and before his NMC kicked in. While market conditions do change, our management team should know how to value Miller. We can’t afford to screw this trade up.

That's such a terrible snap decision sort of move to make.

You truly believe he's only going to be a 67 point center for the rest of his contract?
it would be 1.5 years of pacing below 70 points and to me that’s a large enough sample size where you consider whether or not it is efficient to have Pettersson around.

Canucks Army is reporting that Allvin is slowly moving the goalposts in any Miller trade.

Before now, he was holding out for players coming back who could help this current version of the Canucks 'win now'. But reality may be setting in. Contending teams that want Miller, can't afford to give up valuable pieces on their roster.

So it's looking more and more like it'll be picks and prospects coming back for Miller--much the same kind of return they got for Horvat......although Beauvillier was considered a serviceable middle six winger when he arrived.

If the Canucks continue to flounder into February and heading to towards the TDL, they may run up the white flag on the season and bring in a few top prospects in exchange for Miller. It least it would offer some hope down the road.

There's was definitely a huge ehlers push from the fan base. I get why we chose Girthanen though

Why do you prefer Ehlers over Boeser? Ehlers is likely to ask for a similar salary to Boeser if not more. I would say Ehlers' is more injury prone and his playoff performance is questionable. They are different players but Boeser is a Canuck and wants to be a Canuck. We should try retaining home grown players who want to be here who is performing to expectations give or take.

Over the last 3 seasons Ehlers is 2.56p/60, which would be tied with EP for first on the Canucks. Boeser is 1.98p/60, fifth on the Canucks.

Ehlers is also an outstanding skater, which will likely age better than Boeser’s skating, and visibly drives play whereas Boeser is a complimentary player (which has been very obvious this year with his C’s struggling).

The situation is so bad, the guy they're trying to trade just led all forwards in ice time in a game the coach was attempting to win, he wasn't being showcased.

If they're keeping Pettersson, they better get him linemates he can consistently produce with, Boeser and DeBrusk don't appear to be the guys.

Unfortunate that our $11.6m center can't elevate his wingers and it needs to be the other way around.

Which they rightfully should. I could care less if Miller is turning 32. He is a 100 point player and among the leagues best centermans. Getting Chytil, Kotkieniemi or Roslovic as the main piece in return is downright embarrassing. If Allvin accepted these rumored deals then he should be shot out of a cannon. If the Canucks have to wait until summer to get a better deal then so be it, but the suspense is killing me.
Don’t forget what they got for Horvat though. 1st, prospect, player. Wasn’t great but they flipped it…..

Lebrun said the team is willing to take futures now because they know contending teams can’t move main pieces. What ever they get will likely lead to another trade of those assets….

I am in full agreement with this management for once. We can't win with this core.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to deal with this situation. How do you transform this roster and construct major surgery without losing our captain.

This is not looking good Canuck fans :(
