Really intrigued by Drance's report that Columbus would have big interest in Boeser - talk about an org with an embarrassment of riches at C. That could be a start to address the hole in thie middle left by a Miller trade. Even a guy like Del Bel Belluz, who might be CBJ's 5th best young center, would be huge for our system.
I'm a big fan of LDBB. He could be available in the right deal due to CBJ's depth at C but would be a huge add to Van.Really intrigued by Drance's report that Columbus would have big interest in Boeser - talk about an org with an embarrassment of riches at C. Disagree.Brock Boeser
100% agree with you. Carolina is perhaps the biggest example of this. Can you imagine how good the Hurricanes would be if they added JT Miller??? If Miller is traded to another team and the acquisition cost seems to be as low as reported, the Hurricanes fan base should be pissed that the team was not willing to give up Morrow or another good prospect. Miller would not even be a rental for them and would put them in a position to compete for a Cup for the next 2-3 years!Sometimes you got to wonder if NHL GMs are more interested in winning trades than winning hockey games. Like how many years of Panarin/Shersterkin's prime did the Rangers waste by not stepping up for JTM last time he was available? 2 playoff run with a 90+pts 1C for 5.25m, and they pass because of Schneider!? Now they have another chance to get him and best they can do is Chytil Lindgren and a conditional 1st?
And Carolina, how many years the experts picked them to go all the way, and they keep losing in the 2nd round because they refuse to go for it? Last season with Guentzel is like the first time they really gave their core a boost?
Most teams contention windows are short, like 2-4 years, if they penny-pinch they might waste the whole window. Doesn't seem like these are serious teams when comparing to others like Tampa, Vegas and Colorado, where they do whatever they need to get the best possible team on the ice.
he's had a great season in the AHL, but he's slight and brutally slow (he makes Raty look like a speed demon), so it's hard to see him moving the needle at the NHL level. could be a guy that gets a little faster as he fills out, but I wouldn't be betting anything big on that. Raty probably has a better chance at an NHL career IMO.I'm a big fan of LDBB. He could be available in the right deal due to CBJ's depth at C but would be a huge add to Van.
Shoot...with the amount of cap space and asset capital CBJ has they could pitch for both Boeser and Miller and really make some noise...if Miller were amenable.Really intrigued by Drance's report that Columbus would have big interest in Boeser - talk about an org with an embarrassment of riches at C. Bisonette has said a lot of things, especially about the Canucks, that had turned out not to be true. He’s a good example of why the “insiders” are so mealy-mouthed. He’ll hear one thing from someone he trusts and repeats it. The person might think it’s true but the info is distorted or it’s third hand info. There’s no subsequent verification on his part.
