Going on record again...

Any deal for Miller that has Mittelstadt or Kotkaniemi as the main/best piece coming back (even if there are other pieces) should be absolute non-starters.

Miller has 33 points in 37 games. Just a few points off PPG in his "worst" season as a Canuck.

Teams are trying to lowball offers for him because they think the Canucks are desperate. Don't be fooled into thinking his actual value is that low.

I have doubts about Miller waiving for Pittsburgh considering their future, but who knows maybe he only cares about going East.

Also I imagine Pittsburgh would want Pettersson over Miller in a deal that sends Crosby the other way
What do you mean, that's his hometown team. He's from the boarder of Ohio and his wife is from PA. Pittsburgh is the closest NHL team. He was willing to go to NYC when they weren't in the playoff picture.

Not fooled.

He's going to be 32.
Has 6 more seasons left on his 8 mil contract.
He has requested a trade.
The Canucks have been TRYING to trade him.

You are going to lose in any deal cause they have put themselves in a position where they HAVE to get a deal done.

If we had the Ratanen deal but with Pettersson instead I would have been disappointed with the return Carolina gave us even though it's probably realistic.
Really? If they knew they couldn’t afford Rants then having Necas is a good asset to have. If he doesn’t gel they can def flip him next year for something.

Let’s be real. COL could phone us tmro and prob have EP40 for Necas +

They would turn a UFA they can’t afford in EP with no real losses. That would be real shrewd business by the Avs. Brokering the deal btwn the Canes and Canucks and coming up w a 7 year signed player

Yeah I would not have been overly enthused about Pettersson for that package, obviously it was too rich for Miller.

I see what Aves did. I think they made out well considering they weren't gonna resign him. But let's say Carolina gave that same deal to us for Pete. Well I dunno I'm not really crazy about it then.

wonder if carolina circles back now to add demko for kotkaniemi

gives the canucks the center to move from one (or both of) miller and pettersson, carolina gets a high upside goalie and clears long term cap to keep rantanen
What is with the Kotkaniemi interest. The player is not what this team needs. They bring him on to this team and I am done..
