Maybe just me, but trading Demko now seems about the riskiest thing you could do. Not sure yet if he's just rusty or if the injury is permanently going to be an issue. You've still got some runway on that contract and Lankinen is not a workhorse #1 so you'll be looking for someone to platoon him with.

Gary Mason doesn't like being called Aquilini's mouthpiece

Necas is a pipe dream. And the pipe is a crack pipe.
All depends on if Carolina thinks they'll be able to re-sign him or not. Also, his production has fallen off the past 20 games down to .50 PPG.

If Carolina were to trade Necas, they probably don't want to do it for a futures package, they're trying to win and would want to exchange an impact player for another impact player. Canucks are probably one of the few teams who are willing to make that type of trade right now, so it's a unique opportunity.

Well this is about as excited to listen to Canucks Central on the drive as I can remember being.

You’d think but his contract situation isn’t ideal. If you ignore a hot 20 games to start the year, he’s a good but not great winger with one year left at 6.5M that was a pain to sign last summer; feels like a player Carolina could move on from. If they do move on, chances are it’ll be the right move and we’ll get screwed, which is scary.
