Pittsburgh Penguins

• Were one of the teams that were in the mix for Jiricek
• Chatter around the league is that Dubas thinks he can pull off a “quick retool”
• Thinks he can make this team a playoff team and give Crosby a chance to compete

• Pretty focused on getting their own healthy players back

IIRC, he went on some spiel about how he doesn't like Vancouverites because they're all rich and arrogant, while he's a jeans-wearing blue collar worker from oil country or whatever.

I can see a previous Canucks GM make that trade and proudly declare it a win as Jiricek is further along in his development because he has played Nhl games.
