Well thing is Rangers likely aren’t moving Lafrenière. Kreider seems more like a better fit than Zibanejad. His name keeps being mentioned
Then don’t trade Miller to the Rangers? I don’t buy for a second Kypper’s “feeling” that the only team Miller would waive for is New York. It just ties in to the rumours that Drury is obsessed with getting Miller.

I'm of the opinion that we aren't moving Miller in the first place, but if it were to happen it would need to be the Rangers making it appealing for the Canucks to make the trade in the first place...others around here might disagree and be willing to take less, but for me, it has to work in our favor to move him and neither of those guys really appeal to what I think we need. If we did trade Miller it would create a gaping hole at center that would need to be addressed and Kreider doesn't solve that, Zibanejad might help there, but I'm not a big fan of his...age and regression seem to have begun to set in.

Zibanejad is a negative asset at this point lol.

The additional pieces required for the Canucks to move Miller for either Kreider or Zibanejad would be so massive the Rangers wouldn't do it anyway.

Miller is a physical two way centre coming off a 100 point season. I know he isn’t playing well currently, but he’s still only three points off a point per game pace. And he clearly has mental and physical issues this year. So I think he may be worth quite a bit more than people think.

I'm not wanting to trade either guy at this point. They need to figure this out on there own.Stop acting like kids.
Why? What will happen if they do? Are they that much better than the other top 10 teams in the league? The top ten that are top ten year after year?

Time to think about the future because these players apart from Hughes are getting older or tired of playing under the spotlight here.

Even if it turns out to be true. If I'm Allvin, I tell Miller to open up his list or figure out how to make peace with Pettersson because he's not going to New York for whatever crap they want to toss us.

Dhaliwal already said he is hearing (probably directly from the agent) that Miller is not solely fixated on the Rangers and would consider other requests, though the Canucks have not approached him about being traded yet. I would expect he'd be open to a number of major, US markets.

For the first time, I saw with my own eyes a checked out JT Miller.
I hope he is fine mentally, but clearly on the ice, something is seriously wrong.

Anyone else think it's hilarious that we're second place to the Rangers (in terms of being a media sideshow right now) and it's been just over 30 years since 1994?

Even now, they still have to one-up the Canucks.

What are the chances the interview with iMac was to get Petey ready to be man and lead because Miller is going away.

If there was a way to somehow con Chicago into giving us Bedard, I would be all for it. Outside of Hughes, of course.

Dog did you not watch the games over a three year span from 20-21 to 22-23

This board was ready to string up Miller by his balls a few years ago, and I remember being part of the madness. I've never seen so much hate directed at a player on this team outside of Messier.

Because it was deserved. There is zero world where anyone can watch Miller’s 23-24 season and the effort he was giving on both ends night in and night out and honestly say that was consistent with what he’d done the three years prior. He wasn’t even in the same stratosphere when it came to the effort on both ends.

Dude was clearly trying to get himself traded. That's the only way I can explain it. The antics were ridiculous, the Colin Delia fiasco being the worst of them all.

Dhaliwal said that Miller has not asked for a trade and had no intention to do so. He said there is no preferred destination and that stems from not wanting to leave. The bolded is a twisting of words.

I think the Canucks have a core group that is capable of doing something significant, but for some reason, now that management has stabilized into capable, functioning, decision makers, injuries have kicked the crap out of the team and several of the best players have gone insane.

The team clearly lacks a couple of veteran guys who can reign in Miller's worse tendencies, and without that buffer, he's struggled the most of anyone on the team.

Allvin will have to hit a home run if he trades anyone, if they still retain hope of salvaging this season. Maybe you just stick with this clown show and let them figure it out, perhaps shedding Boeser and making some better choices on defence?

If they do trade Miller and actually get a decent return, maybe they'll be able to dig up a second line centre in the off season, or Raty suddenly turns into a gem. lol. Either way, my fear is they end up with even older players who are on the wash cycle of their careers.

I don't have a clue what's going on with the Canucks, but it's bizarre how much they've stumbled this season.

Sure, but that's not a particularly massive leap. He said, "Miller has no preferred city for which he'd waive his no-movement clause". So basically the Rangers thing is bogus, and he'll consider requests as they are presented. Dhaliwal did not say "Miller would only waive for the Rangers" or "Miller will not waive his no-movement clause."
