Logically it seems like BS.

Why wouldn't he wait until the offseason to put in a trade request when his NMC kicks in and he can control his destination? If EP wanted out that bad, he would have just accepted the trade to Carolina. But he made a choice that VAN isn't the worst option.. unless he really had VAN that low on his destinations and Carolina was like 1 of 3-5 teams he thought were worse and we've suddenly just become the literal worst option in the league.

And all the reporters over the past few days have said that Miller wants to stay and it's going to have to be something the team presents to him.
