Nope! Just hates you, I guess.
Does my favorite poster have me blocked?
SOB is puffy. But interesting take from someone who played with both guys. Always liked Brad Richardson and wanted the team to keep him around.
Huge fan of Brad Richardson.
Also, every time O'Brien tells a story about his partying, not listening or understanding coaches, and habits you understand why his career completely fizzled and he looks the way he does.
No. I don’t.Does my favorite poster have me blocked?
How did you get all the way from tough love to being coddled? Lol.I totally forgot Richardson played a few games here in 2021-22, was wondering when he played with Miller and Petterson.
If Richardson and his 21 games played with Petey knows that you can't use the tough love method on EP, I'm not sure why 1) the coaches/management doesn't know or doesn't care, 2) they actually ASKED Miller to motivate Petey earlier this season (seems like the worse person for the job), 3) RT not publicly backing Petey about his injuries, and 4) why Allvin called out Petey in the interview.
Like, to me, these are all things that would lead to Petey to shut it down, like Richardson said, and damage the relationship with him even further. Even Bruce knows Petey needs to be coddle, then coddle him! You just gave the guy almost $100m, the franchise has way more to lose than EP does now. I don't understand their approach to handle Petey at all, it almost feel like they are trying to sabotage the relationship so they have an excuse to trade him, it make no sense otherwise.

continually having to plug holes eventually takes it's toll. Ignoring the fact our top 2 forwards have not performed (nearly) to the level they are capable of, we've lost almost 14% of the $$ value of our roster to injury/LOA. Not many teams have the depth to overcome that and we obviously don't.It's not as if the team was bad earlier in the year either. Not sure what really has changed all that much. Somebody said something that someone else didn't like and it was last straw? Who knows.
Coddling is what Boudreau said Petey needs. He has coached EP and Petterson has some of his most productive stretches under BB so I'll take his word on how to handle this player. How did you get all the way from tough love to being coddled? Lol.
L Schenn 35% retained for VD and a pickin the early 2000s, the Canucks brought Trevor Linden in and later (to a smaller extent) Brad May, and May was there largely to soften Bertuzzi’s edges a bit.
Our room needs a guy like that right now. Someone that can be a respected voice that maybe insulates Miller and Pettersson a bit from one another.

I agree that what coaching and management and Miller are doing are obviously not helping and seem to be doing the opposite.Coddling is what Boudreau said Petey needs. Tough love seems to be what JTM has been giving Petey since 2021-22 as per Richardson, and how RT and Allvin is/was handling him, not giving him excuses nor "protecting" him to the public.
Its 2 extreme ways to handle a player, we saw which side Petey reacts better to, so I'm flabbergasted as to why management continues to go down the path they are going.
And its not like we only have old hard asses in his ear. The Sedins are coaching him in Vancouver arent they?I agree that what coaching and management and Miller are doing are obviously not helping and seem to be doing the opposite.
But I also do understand or acknowledge that there is a certain mentality or desire to win or whatever that is necessary to win a Stanley Cup. This manifests its way differently in different players (e.g., Sedin style verses Linden) but it needs to be there. And it appears that Tocchet and management don’t think it’s there with Pettersson. Of course we don’t know if that’s true or not. It’s possible they are being too rigid in terms of how they want Pettersson’s compete to manifest itself.
Lol. My belief and confidence in this management group is plummeting at a record rate.
- Management team believed in this core and thought they would do the same things they did last season and are surprised at the lack of consistency and lack of production from star players
