The sentiment seems to be that the Canucks are in on everybody, and making calls basically non-stop, so I'd be surprised if they weren't talking to the Rangers, Sabres, and Predators every day.

Where exactly does 23 yr old LHS Kappo with a career high of 18 goals in a full season, play?

Nils cant get more than 10 min a night, the defense is atrocious and we're worried we missed out on a LH forward?

Any and all assets go towards the defense and maybe a RH center. Not a busting winger.

I'd trade Miller to get both. I'll keep repeating this but I am very wary of 'Miller needing a reset' turning into 'Miller needs a change of scenery,' pretty quickly. Doubt Miller would waive to Buffalo though unless his family is really f***ing tired of Canada.

i would trade either if what they know behind the scenes makes it unlikely we get 2 elite Cs for the next few playoffs.

And yes if that's the case might as well buy some time and move Miller if you could get that return...easy yes for me in that scenario....i hope it's not

I'll admit there's a spot there we could definetly upgrade on but Kakko's played 330 games in the show and his TOI av is 14 minutes a night.

He's never been a 1st line player. Barely a top 6 forward even. At 23 and given a new opportunity there is room for advancement but the last thing this team needs is a project to work with.

I think Kakko's strong puck protection skills would've been valuable here, and certainly if he's going in a Hoglander trade, we lose speed but gain a lot of board play that Tocchet seems to value.

But yeah, Hoglander needs to go for a D upgrade given that his value is still high, surprisingly.

Man that sucks to miss out on Kakko. He's pacing ~35 ES points again, but this time from third line minutes, and they basically gave him away. And he's young enough to still have a bit more upside. I would have been all over that deal.
