Drance was saying on radio anyways that they know they're losing any trade they make. I believe Dhaliwal echoed the same but without saying it directly.
i just want these two dipshits to play better. this isn't like some teammate sleeping with your wife or gf. millions of people work with people they wouldn't otherwise associate with. has the team tried stepping in with some sort of psychologist/mediator?
there isn't a win to trading either of them
trading miller:
- lose your number 1 centre along with his production, especially on the PP
- lose one of the best players at set plays
- lose one of the best faceoff guys in the league
- what if petey doesn't recover? we are just f***ed.
trading pettersson:
- lose a potential franchise cornerstone
- lose a fantastic defensive forward
- miller is getting older and our depth is just gutted in a year or two if he starts to regress
sure, maybe the room gets happier? but everybody is happy when they win, and they might not win much with such crap centre depth if there isn't a suitable replacement centre out there unless they parlay a 1st round pick into like... idunno, casey mittelstadt?
So management isn’t actually targeting the likes of Lindgren, Kotkaniemi and Roslovic? Oh thank god.Miller Market
- Many of the names that have been talked about in the last 24-48 hours are nowhere close to reality

I've said it before in this thread and I'll say it again: this is probably not just a Miller vs Pettersson thing.
I was actually pretty convinced by both players when they addressed it. I'm sure they don't like each other, but this isn't particularly about them being at each other's throats. If that was the case, the team would be telling Pettersson to suck it up and benching Miller every time he acts inappropriately
The problem is that Miller is a dick to everyone. The problem is that there was zero change even after his 10 game healthy scratch. The problem is that he's an absolute liability on the ice when he's not being sheltered with Hughes minutes. His minutes are decreasing steadily, showing that even the coach who has said so many supportive things about him is also losing patience.
This player badly needs a change of address.
I suspect it started as a Miller vs Pettersson thing, which makes sense with the report that "6 weeks ago they decided they had to move one of them", but Miller's done nothing to endear himself as an option to keep... which happens when the team is losing.I've said it before in this thread and I'll say it again: this is probably not just a Miller vs Pettersson thing.

That might be more about Laf and Schneider (maybe nemec too).So management isn’t actually targeting the likes of Lindgren, Kotkaniemi and Roslovic? Oh thank god.

I interpreted that more for the Lafrenière report. I hope it’s for these other names, though.
I figured a Chytl + KAM + pick offer would probably be about as good as we could realistically hope for.I am surprised there’s not more K’andre Miller talk. I know it’s been a tough year for him defensively but not long ago he was very highly regarded and would at least bring back a decent piece with upside (also doesn’t sound like he’s untouchable)
Friedman also said he heard Miller had requested a trade, but when he looked into it that was denied by someone.
the rangers will continue to nickel and dime people and continue to suck because of their absolute refusal to make fair trades. i'll actually be kinda mad if we don't get one of miller, schneider, or laf back in a deal with NYR. i guess othmann and an unprotected 1st is fine too.Braden Schneider Stats, Profile, Bio, Analysis and More | New York Rangers | Sports Forecaster van needs hhim badly but rangers wont give him up that easily.
Draft Class Deep Dive: RHD Braden Schneider
Graphic courtesy of Andrew Armstrong Defense wins championships. We've all heard the phrase. Most coaches have probably said it at some point in time. It's the go-to line when firing up talented offensive players who don't commit defensively. It's also the perfect justification for teams...dobberprospects.com
alvin hangs up the phone easily. then we have no deal with the rangers end of story. dont want any of their other prospects in hartford. findd another team.the rangers will continue to nickel and dime people and continue to suck because of their absolute refusal to make fair trades. i'll actually be kinda mad if we don't get one of miller, schneider, or laf back in a deal with NYR. i guess othmann and an unprotected 1st is fine too.
Thanks for the info Bourque & Bischel could be decent options especially since the Vancouver Canucks would need a centre in a deal.KAM hasn't been good for a couple seasons now. Has awesome physical tools but IQ is questionable and has yet to put it all together, could just be another Myers type.
Lohrei, although a different type of player, is in the same boat in terms of good tools and potential but with long-term question marks.
Stankoven would be the best fit for probably both teams age wise because right now from a Dallas perspective Miller would be a huge upgrade on him, but he's not too far away from being a legit top-6 contributor.
Bourque is a similar young player whose on a strong development path, first year in the NHL this season as a depth player after being PPG+ in the AHL last season. RH center with average size.
Bischel is their other main prospect of note who is a massive defensive LD, however that is not a positional need for us considering the D prospects we already have.
How good is Schneider supposed to be? IMO Rangers made a huge mistake not giving him up for JT a few years ago. They were legitimate contenders that lost twice in the GM7 of the ECF. Someone like JT could have really put them over the top.
