That would be coolwouldnt be surprised if they have a deal tommorow and announce it later in the day. a team nobody knows about. not rangers not devils. hell not even dallas.
maybe value wont be as low as some people would think... allvin gonna work his magic. That would be cool
Getting the 32nd overall pick as our own would be pretty good imo. I can live with that.Best case scenario is Miller saying he would go to a few different teams. Gives the Canucks a bit of leverage instead of negotiating a bad faith deal with 1 team….
NYR media pundit Brooks, who’s apparently very well connected said Laf and or Schneider are believed to be involved.
Would be very happy to add Laf. Miller didn’t hit his prime scoring until when? 28?
Laf is young, locked in, canucks connection. Has to be something there with NY.
I would still prefer Dallas but we shall see.
The most Canucks thing ever would be Miller staying. Canucks getting the 2nd wild card, getting eliminated in the 1st round. Getting 20-32 overall pick….
Change this core, I am ready….
If so, I'm hoping Columbus. Lots of interesting young players.wouldnt be surprised if they have a deal tommorow and announce it later in the day. a team nobody knows about. not rangers not devils. hell not even dallas.
Do Americans actually watch that?f***ing hell. They're not gonna seriously try to do this during inauguration, right?
Cause if they do, I may laugh myself into a hernia.
I think one Canadian former hockey player would be watching: Mike Fisher.Do Americans actually watch that?
Im doubtful about the credibility of the tweeter who started the rumour with those prospects. I am also doubtful that a 1st would be included with Laf, that would be robbery
My friend who is a Rangers fan says that if they deal Lafreniere for JT Miller that'll probably be it for him with the team this year. He was a huge Kakko fan and he also says that Schneider is the best defender on the Rangers right now and K'Andre Miller hasn't been that good this year
Stankoven would be the best fit for probably both teams age wise because right now from a Dallas perspective Miller would be a huge upgrade on him, but he's not too far away from being a legit top-6 contributor. What does Dallas have prospect wise that would be enticing? I am not familiar with their prospects.
Stankoven could be solid but adding another small skilled forward to the current system doesn't seem like a good team building decision to me
Maybe, but Bichsel is more ready than any of the LHD the Canucks have. Could very likely slot in on the 2nd pairing with Willander.KAM hasn't been good for a couple seasons now. Has awesome physical tools but IQ is questionable and has yet to put it all together, could just be another Myers type.
Lohrei, although a different type of player, is in the same boat in terms of good tools and potential but with long-term question marks.

Bourque is a similar young player whose on a strong development path, first year in the NHL this season as a depth player after being PPG+ in the AHL last season. RH center with average size.
Bischel is their other main prospect of note who is a massive defensive LD, however that is not a positional need for us considering the D prospects we already have.
(When i had cable) dumb and dumber was one of those movies I'd always have to stop and watch if I was flipping channels and came across it. So many good lines.
I think I just threw up a little in my mouth...(but you're probably right).I wonder if the Canucks were looking to follow the Horvat blueprint here. Maybe something like some combination of -
Reilly Smith (or Chris Kreider)
Filip Chytil
Adam Sykora
1st Round Pick
And then potentially use that first in a different trade?

That's what it's sounding like to me. Sad thing is, Chytil is a decent player but he is one good hit away from retirement. Not the main piece I was expecting in any Miller trade.I wonder if the Canucks were looking to follow the Horvat blueprint here. Maybe something like some combination of -

I'll let Patrik know our position. The Miller trade is going to be a massive disappointment and we are all going to be pissed and I'm gonna say I told you so. So let's just not trade him please.
