He'd probably be flipped for a pick/prospect and designated as future cap space.lindgren is also an expiring ufa. that would be an absolutely horrendous return.
hopefully drance has no idea what he is talking about.
Pretty much have to include those 2 to make the cap work.
It was definitely Chytil and KAM if Friedman is correct. I'd rather just take Lindgren rather than Chytil since Lindgren is an expiring contract. With KAM's likely next contract in the ~4-4.5M range, it frees up 3M to use more productively, say in a side deal to acquire a younger C for Boeser and free up some more cap there. It's going to be Chytil or KAM with a bunch of sub par picks and prospects. I think regardless the Miller trade is going to turn out to be one huge disappointment for Canuck fans.
No fascination, he’s a cap dump. Buy him out in the offseason at $875k cap hit.I just don't get the continued fascination with Kotkaniemi.
right? what a clown comment. My buddy spoke with Miller a few days ago and he is definitely being traded. He has spoke to other teams already. Why would he be attending a charity event to be a distraction. It would have been selfish if he had shown up.I don't think it actually matters if you have a problem with it lol wth is wrong with people in this market
Kotkaniemi no thanks..they can keep that contract...
makes you wonder about the hughes family diet over time.

do you understand how trades work?At a minimum, the deal should be Chytil, KAM + unprotected 1st.
I understand they want Chytil to be a 2C. Great when he's playing but his career could be done any game.
KAM projects as a young Top 4 dman and could slot nicely into the mix with Hughes, Hronek and Willander.
Unprotected 1st would give mgmt more assets to do a subsequent deal (possibly Byram?), wait till the offseason for a larger deal or refill the prospect pool.
It's not great but better than the crap that was apparently almost a done deal.
I wonder if there's more going on behind the seasons than we know (probably) that makes the Brain Trust feel that they need to do this quickly, rather than waiting for the best possible return.
Please don't.
As a parent of four children, I can tell you it's largely just genetic chance and they can be all over the place.
