My read of the game so far is that you can clearly see the Hungarians are outmatched in talent, but the Slovaks just look lazy at times, lacking intensity... Barely shooting in some situations and rather going for the pass. Reway has been disappointing.
 
Shame Cehlarik doesn't play. I fail to understand why would you give the edge to someone like Bartanus or Hrnka over him. He had pretty solid season in SHL and it will be interesting to see what can he do in Providence (AHL). Reway has been dissapointing so far, tries to deke everyone but you simply can't get through 3 players alone...

Slovakia is the better team, but Hungary plays solid so far.
 
You can clearly see Sofron focus on Marcinko and raise his elbow to target his face. Should be a suspension
 
Trend from pre-tournament friendlies continues. This Slovak team thinks a hockey game is two periods, not three...

I hope that our first line is just having a bit of a stage fright in the first game and they can get it together and go back to their performance from last exhibiion game.

Also still don't quite understand how this team can afford to not dress Cehlarik.
 
Good effort. Hungary seemed to be more focused on head hunting rather than trying to actually play hockey. If they keep this up, they're bound to be relegated for sure.
 
Win is minimum expected

Reway was largely invisible, only saw him on the PP really

1st line really didn't show much, only one with energy was Dano

Jurco and Sekera were great on their two goals

But this team really needs to improve if they don't want to have a blowout against the better teams

Well defensively they weren't tested at all, so hard to tell what to expect, although I like our defense except Sersen who I think has been tragic all year.
