Belarus on the PP.

We got a game here. This has been a fun hockey game to watch.

It is pretty exciting, it has really been our biggest weakness for a long time now. All of a sudden in a five year swing it seems like it might be their biggest strength very shortly.

Yup, seems like US is pumping more elite talent than usual lately.

As a Leafs fan I'm looking forward to future Matthews vs Eichel battles

did matthews score or not? posters talking about this amazing shot, but iihf isnt showing a goal scored...

he sniped two + an assist.

Hopefully this shuts people up about him not being a goal scorer and crap. He can score at a high level, this has been obvious for years. Laine is obviously more of an Ovie/Stamkos type, but he can still score.

is it bad D, bad goaltending, or a combination of both that weve given up 3 goals to belarus?

1st goal was deflected twice through the five hole, 2nd goal was a lucky bounce and the 3rd goal was a 5v3 with Condon sliding over but it was a laser. All in all I still don't like either Kinkaid nor Condon over Demko.

It will not stop the Laine Brigade from chirping. :D

Larkin led all US players in ice time and shots on goal. Matthews was second in both categories.

Matthews's great game will get lots of attention, and deservedly so, but I'd like to note Larkin has played with very impressive poise and confidence in the first two games. He's gonna be something when he moves to centre full time in Detroit.

Larkins a beast. He has so much speed.

Wow, Matthews can really fire it, just like Laine. Incredible that these kids have such great shots at such young ages.
