I think IIHF should bring back the group where the last 4 teams play to avoid relegation while the playoffs are being played. Would be fun to see some more high stakes matches with the second-tier teams.

great play by Platt, saw his teammate would be offside and dumped it to him, then burned "NHL interest" Yohann Auvitu and nice little shot.

That Charles Linglet dude with 3 assists played in the Oilers organization at one time, got into a few games if I recall.

There's a deafening silence of disappointment in this thread after the demotion of Hungary. I think they should be proud though. They outperformed expectations, even winning a game. Their fans really showed up and the future looks not shabby. Vilmos Gallo will be here for a while and Csanad Erdely also impressed me quite a bit. They're not losing many players either, Banham yes and Marton Vas but they're replaceable. It's anyone's guess if they'll be back up anytime soon, but despite the rougher ending it was still a good tournament for them.

France clearly had little to play for today against Belarus, and left a lot in the tank.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks kabidjan18 :handclap:

Us being in the top division is no longer that big of a surprise anymore after 2009 and 2016. More to come for sure
