Even though Norway is a winter-sport country through and through hockey isnt a big deal in Norway. That also shows.

So sad really. Got home from Bratislava yesterday, and for someone who loves hockey it is sad to see how bad things are. Seems like the hockey train is moving along with the hockey nations on board and we missed it. There are only 50 rinks in the country that took us more than 50 years to build. That means we constructed less than one rink a year since 1963 when we got Our first. One thing is also the poor coverage in the media. People say it is a small sport, so that is the reason there is almost no coverage, even when it is World championship. But what can you say about cross country skiing and ski jumping? They get insane coverage and nobody on the international scene cares about the two minor sports. So in a way we do the opposite as the rest of the Winter sport nations. We spend all the resources on small sports that we dominate. But I always tell People that we are not really a great winter sports nation because we are so bad at hockey

Our players looked like junior players compared to the Swedish players, and with junior players I mean fifteen year old ones , this must be the worst shower of shi*t of a national team I can remember, at least since our national teams in the 90’s.
I think maybe we go down to Div 1 this year. It doesn’t look promising, that’s for sure.
The game vs Italy on Saturday will be nervy as fuc*k, not looking forward to that.
