There are tons of good wingers on this team. Not sure why we need to gift DeBrincat a spot on the top line and PP because he's a Hawks player.

That is really good. Korea needs to get prepared for Division 1A next year, and play their own players. Who cares if they lose 10-1 to the US, it will be good in the long term.

In that sense, yes. Its invaluable expierience. But imagine what those guys must feel like. They have been battered in every single game they played.

Honestly at a certain point I just start feeling bad for the opposing team when it's a blowout win. I've been both on the giving and receiving end of them as a player. When you're blowing someone out and you score, you shouldn't celebrate. Just move on.

I really think Norway should be better at hockey than they actually are. I guess it's because there's more emphasis on winter Olympic sports like skiing, right? We've all seen how Norway tends to dominate the medal tables at the winter games.

I've seen some pretty pessimistic Norwegians, who were dreading the risk of being relegated after their loss today - but even with the very mediocre Norwegian team this year, they should have absolutely no problems against South Korea.

At professional/senior international levels it's the honor system to show any mercy to your opponent in a timed game, which is as it should be.

That said, I understand the mercy rule in the World Baseball Classic, since baseball is a sport without a game clock. A vastly outmatched team is going to be stuck pitching/defending for quite a long time while their opponents run up the score to 40-0 or higher.
