It's not just about Laine, and I want to win this tourney and like this it won't happen.
 
Honestly, im a bit surprised at how many people being at arms at Finland not playing 100%. I don't think theres anything wrong with saving energy for tougher games as long as they win this game.

I would think that even Heikki Leime wouln't lose against our opponents so far with this squad.

It's not all about Laine being in the wrong wing, I don't think there is a single line playing out there constructed with logic and/or working well.
 
Jokinen is useless tool. Taking Laine place is his only contribution to this team. Other Jalonen was genious to not take him in 2010 olympics, now I see why, he probably hated him already.

I don't think he really tells players where they play. These things are discussed together with the players, and I'm sure Laine himself is fine with the arrangement(and it's most definitely not about Jokinen being a bully and demanding the LW spot). In the end they switch sides a lot and end up playing both wings about equally, which I think is quite clever since it makes marking the obvious shooter much harder.

And for the record I don't agree with many things Jalonen does, but I know he knows what he's doing. He's conservative, but extremely competent.
 
Forcing a player off position when it's 100% without a reason makes you an idiot coach. I'm willing to admit I'm wrong if I ever get an explanation for it. But our coach is forcing one of our top-line players off wing for seemingly no purpose. And it's not like we haven't seen how much better Laine works LW. This is our 4th game and Jalonen still makes the same choise. Do it once and it can be an experiment. So it twice and you get questioned about it. Do it 4 times and you get called an idiot.
 
Just quit with the Pulkkinen experiment for real. Give Laine full 2 minutes

Seriously, if you're the opposing goalie, whose shot are you afraid of. Laine 1000 times out of 100 and it ain't even close
 
Starting to look normal Suomi again. Hungary been really strong too though. Especially their goaltender. Far more interesting game than I thought.

If the coach was even a half-legit dude this game would be long gone. But na, this mentally disabled waste of space that is KJ has somehow managed to ice this team playing way under its potential
