Why does it even say Russia in the title? They are not in this tournament. ;)

Double standards.

Sry.. This was meant for doping comment, but im on my phone and it seems i cant quote other posts
What's the double-standard? Obviously doping is done all over the world but having an institutionalized, government-backed system for doping and test evasion is a whole other matter.

Would be funny if one of them got popped and DQ'ed the whole team

A bunch of has-beens and never wases, and a few college players is a good recipe for what we all thought would happen.

The NHL owners and Bettman have a financial stake in the players, but c'mon. Let these guys play for their country.

Well, the russians shouldn't have doped.
About this doping case ... I can accept any result. If they are to blame, I just want to see damn evidence, because all I heard about it is that the whole story began with the words of some guy who fled to America and who later turned out to be insane ... and that the court about this case, that recently was held decided there is no evidence. Maybe you know more? Well, let's say, despite this, they are to blame for doping, can I ask, do you really think that the Americans do not do this? Really??

According to NBC's Pierre McGuire, Team USA coach Tony Granato was "furious' with Team OAR's coaches for having their top power play unit on the ice in a 4-0 game with less than two minutes remaining. "Keep putting them on the ice, keep putting them on the ice!" he said, via McGuire.

Have a pacifier Tony, your team got their heads handed to them and you are complaining about their top PP being out there when goal differential counts? Get out of here.
Granato is an (MOD) for this.Don't want to lose 4-0? Score a few goals.
How he landed that job is beyond me , dude has always been a joke.

It's "Olympic Athletes from Russia vs USA", not "Russia"

Actually their jerseys crack me up. "OLYMPIC ATHLETE [singular] FROM RUSSIA"

As atrocious as all the jerseys are from every country in this tourney (outside of the Swedes, of course) they kind of fit right in.

Not saying that Russia is definitely guilty but I don't think the Americans have a national system of doping either. If it's done, it's on an individual basis.

"Turned out to be insane." Yeah, because you hold a job of high position when you're insane. He might be paranoid maybe, but who wouldn't be in his situation? Another of his colleagues "died in an accident" and we all know what that means in Russia. The evidence and the documentation of the systematic cheating is pretty clear. That he is claimed to be insane by the Russian pravda is just part of the classical defamation to decrease the validity of the evidence.

Russia is far from the only country that is systematically cheating and tons of other athletes are cheating for sure in practically all sports. And which court claimed there was no evidence? A Russian based court perhaps, reported by Russian media? If you ask WADA, it is 100% certain Russia has systematically cheated since the cold war.

The International Court of Arbitration for Sport did, a few weeks ago I think it was. Something like 90% of all lifetime bans issued to Russians were overturned due to insufficient evidence from WADA and the IOC.
