Sloppy refereeing, I don't think it's as clear cut as in soccer when one team can say they lost the game because of refereeing, but there definately were a few bad calls going against the Czech team.

However, a great result considering we only had 4 real defensman and also lost Saarela. Hopefully this thing won't spread...

Our chances in the quarterfinals are very slim, that said, I'm satisfied with our performance. We would have probably won the game if not for the refs.

The good thing about stomach flu is that recovery time IS relatively quick and there're some poisons too that can negate its effects.

If it's the other kind of flu, as in the one that hits the respiratory track, that's something you won't fix in a couple of days.

Jeez, bad calls were 2-1 against the Czechs and there's so much crying around. Have you never seen a hockey game before?

Yep, the ones who are sick now shouldn't be having anything flying out of them on Saturday. They might still feel a bit tired though.

Guys like Armia, Lehkonen, Kapanen, Nättinen etc playing in KHL could become really interesting players for Finland in the future national team.

Perception of calls is about 50% what actually happens and 50% what the announcers say about it. IMO there were two clearly bad calls made, one for both sides, but most of us are watching with tinted glasses here...

It's way to soon to say that the last three won't become NHLers, and even Armia is a borderline case.

you have a choice, either the refs were bought and paid for OR the players are WAY better as hockey players then the REFS are as "REFS"

Czechs should have played like two more PP and two less PK. Not sure what game were you watching.

mmmmm I dont know about that. Dont forget the missed tripping call too on Chlapik.

Technically it was one non-called tripping and Siikonen sold that high stick. And one czech got away without added penalty. So 2-1.

2-1? what game were you watching? lol doesnt matter anymore. Congrats to Finland.

I guess you missed how before the 3-3 goal, we shoudl've been on the powerplay becasue a Czech player took a Finnish player's helmet off (which is a 2 minute minor in international hockey), but the ref only gave 2 minute roughing penalties to both teams after it happened.

Having been to the FIN-RUS match, I can tell you that the home crowd is relentless in pressuring the refs. It makes it a lot harder to remain unbiased when there are 12 000 people just itching to unleash their ire at you.

Do you really think it should have been a diving/embellishment penalty on Siikonen or what do you mean?
