No screen, but bad positioning from Veini again. Skaters were out to sea too, but that was nothing the goalie shouldn't have stopped.
 
Both Finland PP were pretty much given, what a joke. Other than that, great game.

Well, Saarela and Björkvist also got called for nothing, evens it out pretty nicely.

Even though Czech first penalty should have been 2 min holding, second was a clear trip.

You can't hold other player when you are down and you can't put your stick under other player skates so that he fells.

But Vehviläinen is still 7cm taller than Saros. And if you compare these two goalies. Well, you can't compare. Its just too huge gap between Saros and Vehviläinen.

Another bad game for Vehviläinen. I hope that this was his last game in this WJC.
 
Who needs D if you can score 8 per game?

This team is like a 1st grader with Hulk Hogan's right arm.
 
Our defense has actually been solid in this game aside from Siikonen. Can't really blame them for those goals. Well maybe Niku should've blocked the last one.
 
These refs. We playing with 4 d. Not sure if I wan't to watch the 3 rd period. It's gonna be awful.
 
This will end 5-3. Who wins, I don't know.

If we lose, it's USA in the QF but Russia in the semis. Sweden-Finland final possible. Sooo.. idk.
 
one thing certainly different between the Finns and Canadians.

No matter how bad Canadians are, we feel we are the best thing since sliced bread.

No matter how good Finland is, the Finns feel they are poor and likely won't win.

Total opposite ends of the "fan spectrum". :) :)

The problem with your agrument is that it wasn't called holding. It was called roughing. Thats a big part of the reason why it was a bad call.

As Kivi said in the studio, we don't need two goalies in the net at the same time (although I actually think that might be a good idea at this point). Niku was out of position right from the start. But Vehviläinen should've taken that one though.
 
What still seems to work by the Finns is the PP. So far, they had one occasion to play PP and they scored.

Is Vehviläinen for no goal of the Czechs to blame or was it weak defense work of the Finns or rather well and irrestisible played by the Czechs?
