No, it's awful. What kind of lottery are you talking about? 1st team in group gets last team from another group and that's the advantage you get from winning the group. It's absolutely fine. This is how It should be.

Since its a short tournament, only a few games, it just means a great team could have one or two bad days and become the 4th place team... and the team that won the other group gets to face them... instead of getting an ACTUAL advantage by getting a by to the semis, having to play one less game, more rest... thats better

It's good for team who won the group, sure. But it is terrible for fans and spectators. And it's definitely not what we should want because it means less games.
