It was such a slow pass that the Swede player had plenty time to get it with his stick.

It's just the thing with Nylander that I don't think the players at his age(for the most part) aren't quite ready for a player with this type of vision and talent.

I did watch it again it was in his skates on the pp. any 6 yr old could make that play. Its ok to hype the stick handling breaking out of his zone. But trying to hype a guy on a PP 5 ft pass that was a nothing play goes beyond hype machine status. If Lindbolm or Vrana was a Leaf prospect this board wouldve blew up lol

So who's the hypocrite the guy that swears he can be a superstar at 18 or the one who doesn't? Nobody knows but the Leaf hype machine is at its all time best. Historically we all know the outcome when that happens? Be happy you have a kid that looks like he has NHL skill. Whether he can compete at that level will be proven in a year or two. Lots of kids with similar size with good hands and good speed never make it in the bigs some end up as stars ie Kane
