Everything about you screams “young adolescent.” Your post history is hilarious to look at and I’d wager everything I own you’ve barely watched an actual game of Hughes (especially before your favourite team won the lottery). Your utterly misguided statements speak for themselves. The aggressive fanboying of JH in every thread possible is getting old, though. This is a damn GDT for a game where he may not even play. Can we have some peace? Thanks.
Youd be wrong on all accounts

Im so young Ive seen three cups. Hows that for you? How many have you seen? Four stanley cup finals. Have you been to one?

Imagine trying to judge someones age based on text.

I think it was the right call to sit Hughes today for exactly the reasons already mentioned here.
Agreed. As a TC fan I was hoping he’d play today, this tournament has provided abundant proof that he is physically not ready for any degree of contact at this level. I’m sure this has been an eye-opener for him and he will put in concerted work this summer to address it.

Back to the game at hand, I agree with the other posters who have suggested that it will likely come down to a goalie duel. I like our chances in that case, whether it’s Schneider or Demko between the pipes. We’ll have to see, I’m hoping to catch the last half of the game.

He’s actually been one of Team USA’s best and most engaged forwards from what I’ve seen. I think the Sens have their 2C spot locked down for a decade.
Most engaged in a tournament where four players have tried the entire time (White, Eichel, J+Q. Hughes)

Its a vacation for the rest

I'm a little worried about Severson vs this team.... vs Finland he was easily the worst player on the ice, turnover after turnover... as the tournament goes on he's been better but he needs to play safe vs a team this good...
and Schneider starting is interesting...

Yeah, Severson has been dodgy for sure, like you said it seems he has gotten better the last few tilts but he's gotten better against some of the tier 2 teams so the jury is still out.

Schneider is going to get exposed if he is playing.

Hughes sitting is a good idea. He has been ineffective and out classed vs this level of competition

Severson/Nurse pairing will struggle heavily this game imo.

Severson was real bad against Finland and Nurse isn't the kind of player to elevate or cover for his partner

5-4 Canada.
Hughes not playing because he is not ready for this kind of competition.
