GDT: Group A - May 21 - Canada vs USA

5-3 to USA. Then we'll have US - Switzerland, Canada - Czech, Finland - Sweden and Russia - Germany in the quarters.

Then I'm betting on Switzerland beating the US and Canada beating Czech, Sweden beating Finland and Russia beating Germany. So semifinals:

Swizterland - Canada
Sweden - Russia

The U.S. has played awful this tournament. I think Canada wins handily unless they find another gear all of a sudden.

If thats whatyou think okay - most 4th liners dont create as much offense as Jack has this tournament... then again you watch Detroit :sarcasm:

Must suck having Blashill as coach though. Hynes is bad but....
 
I think America has the advantage at forward and defense and Canada has the advantage in net.... if we're gonna win we have to pressure Schneider, I believe he went almost 2 years without a win with the Devils... he's almost finished imo... looking forward to watching Hart, I think he's going to be something special

Haha I’ll take that insult and raise you 5 more goals and 2 points than your team scored :DD

I hate Blashill too. He’s a tank commander coach.

But for real. Out of every game you could have sat Jack - the one against a full NHL team?

In development, this was a major game for him. I have no idea how he isnt worthy of a 3rd line spot over some grinder who will be there. Jack has created plenty this tournament. I mean christ its big ice and hes the teams best skater...

Blashill probably doesn’t trust him defensively or playing on a 4th line grinder role. Who does he replace on that third line? Kreider? Gaudreau? No way. Also, he doesn’t come close to Larkin in skating.

Hughes already was getting very little ice time the more important the matches were. Even vs Finland he got just a little, and his ice time almost cost them during the overtime, also. If you really don't see how he's surfing most of the time outside of play, that's very surprising. I guess seeing things like that still is beyond many. That makes sense, as people seem to concentrate on isolated "good plays" rather than how the person plays the entire time they're on the ice.

Everything about you screams “young adolescent.” Your post history is hilarious to look at and I’d wager everything I own you’ve barely watched an actual game of Hughes (especially before your favourite team won the lottery). Your utterly misguided statements speak for themselves. The aggressive fanboying of JH in every thread possible is getting old, though. This is a damn GDT for a game where he may not even play.
