Everyone expects a hatrick from Kaapo, but I could see Jalonen doing the unpopular move of resting him. I hope I'm not right.

Yeah wouldn't surprise me at all if Kakko plays like 12 minutes this game. He and Manninen are running this team, wouldn't mind them stapled to the bench quite firmly after the score becomes 3-0 or so.

2 days off or not, this is gonna be 5th game in 8 days.

Kakko seems like the type to get pissed off and become vocal if he's not playing. Probably not a good idea.

He said that he was swearing on the bench when he felt like a couple of his shifts were too short against Denmark. It's probably in everyone's best interests to keep this guy playing.

Everyone expects Jalonen to rest him for some reason.

Kakko is 18yo guy, if someone in this team can play 5 matches in 8 games it's him. Smell zero points for him though today, 4:1 win or more will happen anyway.

Guessing Vehvilainen to be in the net with Olkinuora on the bench.

Agreed and I think it would be quite the accomplishment for Finnish hockey to see him go first overall so I’m sure they’d love him to pad his stats

You have to make Kakko look worse, otherwise he will end up in New Jersey instead of New York. Someone has to inform Kakko he shouldn't sulk about limited ice time, it's for his own good. ;)

Alright. I think it's finally time that I give Kakko the attention he deserves. This is a biggy game for him. depending on what he does v the Brits, it will give us the definitive answer on the Kakko v Hughes who goes 1OA debate. < Sarcasm

Should be fun way to give off the long weekend. fire up my grill.

Can only hope that Finland shows a better game than they did against Finland.

Ben Bowns robbed Jack Hughes a couple days ago, now it's time to rob Kakko! Ben Bowns.. the draft ranking killer.

True dat, Finland has always been a tough opponent to Finland. It's a close call between these two, always.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but Finland has never won Finland? Quite a record, I'd say.
Oops, that was a bit of a dumb typo. I meant Denmark.

Well, Finland's their own worst enemy anyway. Although it's become much better since Jalonen became the coach. While the players are mostly plugs with stone hands, it still looks a lot more sensible.

Confirmed FIN lineup.

Olkinuora (Vehviläinen)

Lehtonen - Ohtamaa
Lindbohm - Jokiharju
Mikkola - Kaski
Koivisto - Hakanpää

Rajala - Ilomäki - Ojamäki
Pesonen - Manninen - Kakko
Savinainen - Luostarinen - Kuusela
Kiviranta - Tyrväinen - Anttila

GB the nemesis for Finland! ;)

The only national team that Finland has played against but never won I believe.

But the biggest nemesis is the Gävle Godtemplares IK club side from Sweden whom Finland has played four times losing each.
