I can't understand how some people react to the fact some of the nations in a world championship isn't gonna win.

From now on, only Jamaica and the US are allowed to participate in the Olympic 100 - meter dash.

GB will only grow from being in this tournament.

Even people already fans of hockey used to be mostly indifferent to the national team and were only interested in their own clubs. This year so many people who would not normally pay any attention have made the trip to Slovakia. GB has never had better preparation for a tournament, it used to be they might get 2 games against the Netherlands in a half empty Nottingham arena, this year they had more games than ever throughout the season against better competition to prepare. The off-ice media has never been more organised.

Being in this tournament will have inspired every kid who currently plays the game, and shown them what is possible. It used to be the realistic ceiling for a British kid who isn't a generational talent was to make some beer money in the EIHL for a few years and maybe get some games in for GB in lower divisions. This will have shown every kid that it's possible for them to one day be playing on this stage and give them the inspiration and drive to reach that.
