Kane always looks like he's "not trying" internationally, but he always produces and is constantly dangerous. That's just how talented he is when he's allowed to do his thing. I know he's had some issues with coaches in the past as they've not really let him play like he'd want, I could be wrong but IIRC there was something about this with Tortorella at some international competition some years ago.
