none of the US forwards are going to the net, everyone is pulling up and trying to create from the outside...that just isn't going to work here, we need some individual moves to gain the tough ice, seems everyone is reluctant to show off their skill. Eichel seems the only one so far willing to do this.
I think it’s similar to Russia, not this year though, but before when they had a lot of their elite players, they were playing like bunch of egos not a team. And this USA team really fails in this department.

he couldn't care yet he came here...again. so sick of seeing people post this nonsense - if you don't follow Kane and how he plays on the ice then stop making comments. you in particular should know how Kane plays since you post in the Hawks board..he does give a **** which is why he is here, he just isn't your back checking monster every time..he will do it, but does it in moderation, it is why he can conserve his energy and play 25 minutes a night..we all wish he played a bit different, but after 12 years of watching the same guy play this way, he is who he is and that is a first ballot HOFamer..

Just because he's there doesn't mean that he's going to give it his all or that he cares.

seems like they just keep looking to each other to make the first move, or step up..need someone to take the torch and run with it - Eichel looks to be that guy, he leads the charge the rest will follow. Kane did it last year and it seems everyone just keeps looking to him instead of doing things themselves.

Why so... my post wasn't negative dude, calm down for crying out loud....
i was just commenting one shift. Its all about round robin and the fact that the opponent is GB.

I am 100% certain that he will give his A game again next round.

Dude, take a chill pill, Kaner is my 2nd favorite player after Brinksy.

I am really surprised at how hard it has been for the U.S to get on track this tournament with the talent they have on hand this year, I thought the first couple of games would be disjointed because of the lack of preparation time but this is game four now and it just seems like it's not happening.

This has to change soon right?

you would think, but Canada seems to be going through the same thing, every game is far too close for what it should be with their talent as well. having this tournament start a bit later is nice for late adds, but man are a lot of our guys rusty on both teams..

True, though I thought Canada worked the puck in the offensive zone far better then the first 2 games so I see cause for hope, defensively they were still pretty bad though. I haven't really seen much of anything to hang your hat on in the U.S play yet. But it's still real early, lot's of time to get the engines humming, i have to think it will happen in the next game or so. They probably need the big rivalry match up against Canada to wake them up, I think that game will be a godsend to them in terms of getting their game on track.

GB showing the US not much respect - a big contrast from how they played against Canada.

Yes or the US will be out in quick order in the quarterfinals.

Jack Hughes turned 18 yesterday. They were partying hard. Also USA's next game is Saturday. Game against Great Britain does not count.

And since in slovakia people are legally allowed to drink the day person turns 18, Jack Hughes got his priorities straight :partytime:
