Battle for everything. Draisaitl versus Tatar. Kahun versus Panik.

It's almost like quarterfinal for both teams :thumbu:

I think at the end of the day, the goaltending will make the difference in this one. If SK plays as they have against CAN, we need a big game from our goalie...hopefully we are doing better against good teams as usual...but this could escalate quickly if not :-)

"They have the best team what I've ever seen," said Kahun about slovakian team before this match (source: šport.sk).

Mind games?

He is young. Kahun never saw players like Palffy or Bondra in their prime.

Germany has to play b2b. Slovakia has home ice advantage. Slovakia will win.

One thing's for sure - heroic effort required from both teams here!
I want this exciting match to be open until the very last second. :sarcasm:

I think this is a 50/50 game and Germany will probably snatch this one
More like 40/60 for Slovakia and if they go ahead on the start this can't get ugly for Germany. Crowd will be loud and they will pressure the refs. And refs will remember what happend to Slovakia against Canada.

I am not sure how much stock I would put in your evaluation of these two teams.

Remember that Slovak player who played in Swedsih 2nd division last year according to you? You know the one that numerous NHL Teams are interested in watching this tourney? :D

I doubt the refs will remember anything since nothing happened to them.

The refs will call the game and nothing else.

Expect a very boring and defensive German team tonight. We've got to keep it scoreless for as long as possible. Coach said pretty much the same thing.

German defense has been great so far, far better then Canada's performance against them last game.

Could be a tough night for the Slovaks.
