Not a great hockey game but a win is a win. Niederberger deserves some credit, kept calm and made up for some poor defensive plays in our own end. Guess Grubauer is starting against France on tuesday, wouldn't mind Niederberger being the backup.

Yeah, Niederberger kept the Danes at bay. Good for him to build up some confidence.
It wouldn't surprise me if we'll see all three goalies in net during the tournament, as Treutle is as clutch as Grubauer and Niederberger when push comes to shove... and we're going to face tough opponents v soon.

Swedish television is absolutely spot on. Denmark does not play as a team this tournament and there is a lack of discpline.

Team Denmark - look no further than to their pretty exciting performances vs. us and some other opponents (SVK, SWE) in Cologne in 2017.
They have a lot of quality on their roster, but unfortunately they are unable to unleash hell on their opponents without a key player like young Nikolaj Ehlers, their rocket on the wing. and without the leadership of a guy like Frans Nielsen. Add those two guys, and then True, Russell, O.Björkstrand and F.Andersen, and they are suddenly a totally different team. ;)

Same old German Team. Lack of skilled offensive Players as always. Makes me even more mad that a guy like Bokk didn't make the Team. But hey I guess you can never have enough of those skilles Players that will never get you anywhere.

Honestly I have never put any stock into what you have to say about stuff where Denmark is involved.

My opinion is it was a pretty equal game, and in the 3rd the Danes were best imo.
Well, Germans had the goal disallowed for a dubious reason, Dahm made that miracle save, Hager couldn't score on the backdoor play on PP. All in all, Germans had at least 5 great chances and scored on 2 (arguably 3) of those. Denmark really didn't have many chances at all in the first 2. You can create a public poll if my opinion holds no weight but 1-0 after would have been lucky. Sure Denmark came on in the 3rd but I don't know how much of it was Germany sitting back with a healthy lead.

Didn't like our effort in the third period. We need to play way better, if we want to beat better opponents.

Two very unimpressive games by the Germans but yet a clean slate. As there is a saying "win the right games" the Germans may have developed another saying "play your bad games in the right games"
