IIHF Rule 186
"If an attacking skater establishes position in the goal crease, obscuring the goaltender’s sightline but making no contact, and a goal is scored, it will not count".

His ass was inside the goal crease. But yeah, very, very harsh. And not understandable.
An ass in the crease is fine, otherwise that rule's ridiculous.

according to the rules the decision regarding German goal was correct. but have to agree its ridiculous rule

I thought that "in the goal crease" referred to the position of the skates?

I think the reason for the call is that Ehliz's skate made slight contact with Dahm's stick while the shot was already underway. Ridiculous call in any case.

I also thought that but on sport1 they talked about the crease is like a 3d-space where you must not have a part of the body in it. But I don't know if this is true.

Anyway, even if it's according to the rules, it's a very harsh call.

Yeah good luck proving that sort of a thing. Swing the stick and hand passed over the crease? Goalie interference!

Hehe, yeah. I don't know. It sounds strange.

Germany's lucky that Denmark doesn't have a Powerplay.

Most ridiculous ref ever. The Danish player gets a penalty for his dive and Holzer gets a penalty for a foul. so either it's a dive then there was no foul or it was a foul and there was no dive. one thing excludes the other. Like wtf?
Embellishment can happen on fouls as well. I don't agree with the decision to call that here but they're not mutually exclusive calls.
